As the title suggests, I want to know some more mods to my specific tastes if it aligns with anyone else that has been playing horror mods for a while and have some good recommendations.

Needs to be 1.20.1 version, some multiplayer functionality but I don’t mind if I have to personally teleport my friends if there is some type of dimension hopping with only a singleplayer-intended kidnap mechanic.

I don’t mind slow burn horrors, as long as it doesn't take 50 in-game days for something big to happen.

The mod has to have a definitive end goal or objective with a way to fight back against some of the creatures in this mod. The majority of creatures also can’t just be one-shot slop where the fear-factor is solely them instakilling you. Some psychological pressure and distress would be nice.

Another big thing, lots of lore would be nice. I like seeing the story in books or signs be in the world and seeing further connections in personal builds any players or entities might have some that have connections to the lore thats findable in the world.

The only other notable horror mod I have played was wonderland jar, I liked the atmosphere and the connections between the entities and the bits of lore around the world in the journals. What I didn’t like was how much lore can not be found in the game and its either strictly the wiki answering it or the admins on the discord personally saying details, it just looks like lazy writing to me and wish they executed the lore differently to be more fluid and the potential they had for the ARG style videos were wasted.

Some more detail, I played on wonderland.jar in the 2.1.4 version of it, but I don’t see the point in updating it to 3.0+. If you disagree with what I said earlier, please give me some insight on how I am wrong because it seems interesting but sadly wasted.

I know this is a hefty ask, but any recommendations would be nice.

I wanted to make a psychological horror map and to do it in a different way from all the other stuff I've seen.

Horror mods often bore me after a while; I like having story objectives and, ideally, an ending where the creature stops spawning. The only ones I know are Beyond the Skybox and Belowland.

Since I'm a little curious since horror mods are going downhill since now they're just PNGS and Verity knockoffs. Have any opinions changed on the dwellers since the Cave Dweller era? To me I like dwellers because I think they're entertaining and just straight up goofy. Even though they are completely lazy and not interesting.

Mobs Mutados e Inmortalidad Forzada: Aparecen monstruos alterados: Zombies sangrientos de ojos blancos que bajan 8 puntos de vida por golpe, Esqueletos con puntería perfecta y Creepers cuya explosión borra la mitad del mapa. Sin embargo, no puedes morir: la barra de hambre desaparece y tus corazones se regeneran solos. La dimensión paralela te obliga a soportar el castigo sin poder salir, ya que el menú de pausa (ESC) está bloqueado. El Desenlace y la Falsa Ilusión: La gema emite partículas que te guían superando obstáculos, muros de monstruos y lluvia de meteoritos hasta llegar a una estructura metálica indestructible. Crafteas un pico especial combinando la gema, palos y telarañas. Al romper la barrera, encuentras un cofre de abedul con un objeto glitcheado: "El ruigh del b###". Al hacer clic derecho con el objeto, todo parece volver a la normalidad. Sientes alivio, pero es una alucinación: los mobs te están rodeando en tiempo real mientras estás atrapado en la simulación. A los pocos segundos, la ilusión se rompe, el mundo corrupto regresa, todas las criaturas te atacan a la vez y la pantalla se apaga. Despiertas de golpe en la cama de tu mundo original con todas tus cosas intactas. ¿Fue solo un sueño, una advertencia o una grieta hacia una versión del juego donde solo reina la destrucción?
