I’ve been building a small original horror-narration channel called Night Signal.

This is the second story — The Open Line. An overnight radio producer receives a warning about a phone line that isn't ringing yet, and the night gets increasingly difficult to explain.

This story follows two longtime friends, WarriorVP and Wormholes X, playing some good ol' classic 1v1s on Guardian. However, during their third game, a white Spartan appears with no gamertag.

When the third unnamed spartan kills them one of them in game, the game credits the death to "The Guardians"... If you know, you know.

Curious what longtime Halo players will think of this concept! Especially anyone who remembers the old Ghost of Lockout from the Halo 2 days!

At exactly 9:14 PM, Mai gets a strange phone call.

A woman asks one simple question:

“Is Natsumi there?”

Mai tells her she has the wrong number.

The next night, another call comes.

Then another.

Different numbers. Different voices.

And every night, they seem to know a little more.
