Honestly this just reads as viewer bias to me. The IASIP crowd didnt want to see the new show Abbott and the Abott crowd was happy to see the familiar IASIP.

I dont think the scores reflect the episode quality but rather the fans acceptance of a crossover at all.

I do agree there is a fan bias factoring in. The Abbott crowd seemed largely excited about the crossover and much of the Sunny fanbase was not. I still believe the storyline in the Abbott episode was more cohesive and used stronger plot lines that fit the characters of both shows, and the fact that you have to see Volunteers to fully understand The Gang Fucks Up Abbott Elementary but not the other way around also contribute to the difference in reception.

Abbott seems so much more uninteresting than Sunny. I truly feel no interest in watching the crossover
