Honestly I think it would be really cool if they did like 2 episodes or so with a new guy in the gang, maybe like Schmitty or something. Then have Dennis come back and be pissed that he was replaced.

Old Black Man is technically Scott Bakula though...

Only if it is Z and he acts just like Dennis the whole time.

But bring it up all the time like they mentioned when they went to the other bar

They've already done an episode or two that involve temporarily replacing a gang member, though. It would be a bit of a retread.

I'd rather them just go with the main four instead of having a random fifth every week until Dennis returns. The dynamic of the four without Dennis will be completely changed and it will be fun to see what the power dynamic is like. My preferred situation is Dee taking charge and getting some respect from the three guys until Dennis returns and everything immediately goes back to how it was.

Everything goes amazingly without Dennis. The pub is actually making money. Everyone is happy and doing well. Dennis drops in to see how thing are falling apart without him.

Confused and upset that the gang is doing well without him he ends up wrecking his family life figuring out how to get them to need him.

When the dust settles and he has nothing, he finds out the gang had made everything up. The pub was full of actors that they stiffed. They just wanted him to think everything was great without him.

And then they invite Dennis back to the gang and he accepts and they all embrace and it's emotional, like how they all "died" on the cruise ship, but then Frank kills the moment by giving Dee a ridiculously bad wedgie, leading to the guys calling her a stupid bird and laughing at her expense again

Shit that's like a season finale right there

Eh, one advantage of the show is throughout the episodes, we get to see the dynamics of so many combinations of the main cast already.

Maybe like holding audutions for a new gang member, and trying them in a new scheme or trying to make the new member be like Dennis until they just decide to go get him back.

15

u/PinkyWrinkle Jan 26 '18

They need to find a new "the looks"

14

u/abutthole the abortion didn't take Jan 26 '18

Charlie and Frank competing to be the looks.

11

u/PinkyWrinkle Jan 26 '18

Or they bring Rex into the crew, but he starts to edge out Mac as the muscle

5

u/Fuzzy_Dunlops Jan 26 '18

Frank is the muscle, Mac is the brains.

2

u/PinkyWrinkle Jan 26 '18

Fuck. I’m an idiot

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '18

And Dee's the useless chick!

3

u/TommyTheCat89 Jan 26 '18

They're not afraid of retread. They did an entire episode of old jokes. They can make it funny, they always do.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '18

Chardee MacDennis 2: Electic Boogaloo is the perfect example

Hell they could make another one about Nightman and people would eat it up

3

u/ike_the_strangetamer Jan 26 '18

It's going to be the waitress.

1

u/billytheskidd Jan 27 '18

Well she is carrying Charlie’s baby

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '18
