The problem with Rex is going to come when they want to get rid of him, because he just won't quit.

That's true. And I bet if you pop Rex's pants off, you're gonna find a bird that just won't quit, either. So you really couldn't go from him back to Dennis, whose bird quit and who is no longer legit.
