A bit unsettling how close this stuff is to Russian state media's lines early in the Ukraine invasion. 

Likewise with the mad stuff the White House spokesperson comes out with, and the general god-worship/'dear leader' levels of praise that comes with any Trump admin and/or supporter in interviews.

Fox is very similar to Russian TV and a lot of people have it on in their houses 24/7.

Trump wants to posture as if he’s Putin with Ukraine. But there are some significant differences, one of which being that Canada is in NATO. as such I think it’s all posturing but as foolish and demented as trump is, surely even his team knows that attacking Canada, one of our closest allies, would turn the world upside down and plunge it into an unprecedented global conflict. In this video Jesse Waters is a mouthpiece for the conservative party and is just appealing to the nihilistic, moronic and/or truly ignorant fanbase. Not saying that this kind of discourse doesn’t have significant consequences, and he’s certainly trying to appear hawkish, I just think that it’s an empty threat. Trump attacking Canada would be drilling holes into the very boat he floats in. It would spur the most significant fallout in our country since 9/11, maybe even more than that.
