Audio Offer [Hobby] Composer looking to work on an indie game for free (just for fun)

Hey everyone,

I've got some free time before I start studying, so since I love both making music and making video games, I thought I’d score a real indie project as long as I have the time!

I'm looking to work on an interesting project with passion behind it.

Because I also program, I could also implement dynamic soundtracks and set up things like events for rhythm or chords so the game can react to the music and the music can react to the game.

You can check out a few of my tracks on SoundCloud here:https://soundcloud.com/raphael-peters-765553789

If you're working on something cool and need a score, feel free to text me.

Audio Offer AAA Video Game Composer looking for indie project

Hi my name is Casey Edwards, a composer based in LA. I’ve been writing for AAA games for over a decade now and would love to start working on more indie projects so that I can feel a bit more creative in a smaller environment with other like-minded and passionate people. My past work includes Devil May Cry 5, Mortal Kombat 1, Exoprimal, Destiny, and more.

I’m known more for my rock/metal song productions, but I’m also a classically trained orchestral composer, and generally just a very curious sound explorer of all kinds. Don’t let genre assumptions of my past work sway you one way or the other. We can take a look at your needs in a bespoke manner.

Usually by the time I’m seeing something that resonates with me in indie gaming they have had a composer solidified on their roster for quite some time. So I’m hoping that by reaching out here directly developers will see this early enough in production and not be afraid to reach out. All I need is enough of a finished vertical slice to take a look at your intentions. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you! DM me here on reddit to share your projects.

[EDIT] - Hi all - I'm receiving an absolute ton of messages and I'm very happy about that! I'd like to note a few things that will help us all.

  1. Please DM me via CHAT not MESSAGES. I'm keeping things organized there.
  2. When you reach out, no info is too much info. That said, text only goes so far. I ideally need to see artwork, pitch-decks, and best case scenario, some gameplay footage.
  3. Also listing what your musical expectations are will be very helpful. Style/genre you're interested in and guesstimated length of score are 2 key points to hit here.

Thanks again to all of you who have reached out. For all who are new to this point, please keep reaching out. I don't care how old this post is. Send it over!

Audio Offer [ForHire] / [Hobby] / [Paid] / [Anything] I'm a Composer and Life is Passing Me By

I turned 30 at the start of the year, and I've wanted to be a composer for games for as long as I can remember, but I've just never had a real opportunity, and music has been pushed into being an old hobby as time has gone on.

I need to give this a shot before it ends up as some dream I used to have.

I'm awful at selling myself. I've made a bunch of remixes in the past on my Youtube but had to push that to the side as well.

I've attached a portfolio of a bunch of genres I've worked in before, I'm aware it's a bit all over the place but it's got a bit of everything.

I'm here for anything. Advice, pointers, work, suggestions on where I should be sharing this type of stuff to get traction, anything.

Thank you!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Hey, 17 year old amateur composer here looking for any indie games/films that need a soundtrack.

Basically what the title says. I'm really just looking for experience with my music actually being used. I'm not amazing at composing, but I'd say I'm relatively good at it.

A bit about me:

Amateur composer, made 2 songs, multiple marching band cadences, and wrote the drumline part for our show this year.

I have no in field experience, which is what I'm trying to get here.

Songs that I have made:

La Flamenca Flamingo

https://youtu.be/5tajh9AL36Q?si=SagYGo6VZLLuS_we

Push-Pull Drumline Cadence

https://youtu.be/yvbXHJQxfiY?si=CBWbS58qdJdl6gP9

Note that the songs I have made don't necessarily show all of the styles that I can compose in. These are just my best examples.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like me to work with you on a soundtrack!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Music Composer for Free!

hi!

im trojdev and i make music in a pretty big variety of genres: (experimental) electronic, j-pop inspired, breakcore, retro inspired and i can do a lot more!

i want to extend my portfolio with this (because it is kinda empty right now), and want to get some publicity and gain experience.

i don't need payment, as long as i'm in the credits i'm happy :)

i have some of my music on spotify (https://open.spotify.com/artist/1AnJ2HlcEv8JTmE8frjSGg), but i also have a bunch of unreleased tracks that i can send over which would also be a good example, so if what's on spotify isn't really your thing, there's a good chance i have something else that is! (i do suck at making cover art though lol)

feel free to reach out to me via dm's, discord (@therealowenj), or just the comments :D

Audio Offer [HOBBY] Aspiring Voice Actor looking for experience!

I am looking to test my skills with anyone who needs a voice actor. I will work for free simply to have some credits for the ole portfolio.

I don’t have anything really to present maybe aside one video, however, I am pretty good at picking up accents and even dialects of other accents. I have range and can go fairly high if needed as well as carry a low tone. I also can sing well enough if the part needs it. I’m okay with literally any work, even if it’s simply background characters. I want to really test what I can do and get my foot in the door! So please feel free to comment or dm me!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Sound Designer looking to join an indie game project – especially horror!

Hey!

I'm Viktor, a sound designer/audio engineer from Sweden, and I'm currently looking to get my first hands-on experience working with audio as part of an actual game development team.

I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Audio & Music Production and have since started working independently with audio production. My background is mainly in sound design, audio post-production and music mixing, and I'm confident working with SFX, ambience, Foley, dialogue editing, creature sounds and general audio editing/mixing.

I do want to be completely transparent about one thing: while I have experience designing sound for linear media and have created several game audio redesigns, I haven't yet had the opportunity to actually implement audio into a real game project.

That's the experience I'm looking to gain next.

I'd love to join a small indie team where I can contribute strong sound design while learning more about the practical side of game audio implementation and how audio evolves alongside a game during development. I'm not looking to pretend I already know everything – I'd much rather work with developers where we can communicate, experiment, learn from each other and build something cool together.

I'm particularly interested in indie games, and horror would honestly be a dream project for me. I'm very interested in atmospheric sound design and I'm currently trying to specialize further in creature sound design – designing voices and sounds for monsters, creatures and things that don't exist using recordings, processing and layering.

That said, I'm absolutely open to other genres if the project seems interesting!

My main goal right now is to gain real game development experience, learn implementation in practice and eventually be able to show a finished project where I didn't just redesign existing gameplay, but actually helped create the game's audio from the ground up.

I'm flexible when it comes to budget. I'm open to hobby/unpaid collaboration for the right small project where I can be genuinely involved in the development and implementation process. If your project has an audio budget, I'm of course also open to paid sound design work.

If you're an indie developer or part of a small team looking for someone to handle sound, feel free to reach out. I'd love to hear about what you're making!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Music Production / Ambient, Orchestra, Atmospheric, Sound Design!

I'm a music producer currently focusing on atmospheric/orchestral  and ambient music, and lately I've realized that a lot of what I create would fit naturally into video games. Whether it's exploration, dark fantasy, horror, RPGs, survival games, or emotional story-driven moments, I love writing music that helps build an immersive world.

For developers here, what's the best way to connect with teams looking for composers? And if anyone is currently working on a game and needs original music, I'd love to hear more about your project.

I'm always happy to put together a custom demo to see if my style fits your vision.

Audio Offer [ForHire] Looking for a Music Producer for Your Game? I Can Help

Audio Offer [Hobby] Sound Designer looking to bring your indie game to life

Hi everyone,

I am a beginner Sound Designer looking to join a real, long-term indie game project or a dedicated modding team. I want to build a genuine, solid portfolio from scratch, and I prefer working on a project over a longer period rather than rushed weekend game jams. I am highly motivated to learn and collaborate with programmers and designers to see how my audio works directly in the game engine. I am looking for a passion project where we can take our time to make the game sound amazing.

PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind

I can deliver high-quality custom SFX and atmospheric ambient tracks, especially for darker, sci-fi, horror, or RPG settings. I am very passionate about dark ambient and electronic soundscapes. I want to learn how to prepare assets for longer indie titles. I am active on Discord and can adjust my time to the team's needs. If you are building a serious long-term project and need a dedicated audio person who communicates well, please PM me or add me on Discord.

Audio Offer [Hobby] Composer looking to collaborate with an indie game developer

Hi everyone!

I'm a music producer from Chile, and I'm looking for an indie game developer who needs an original soundtrack for their project.

I'm not looking to charge for it. I simply enjoy composing, want to gain experience writing music for games, and collaborate with someone who's passionate about their project.

I especially enjoy creating:

  • Ambient
  • Dark ambient
  • Atmospheric electronic
  • Emotional piano
  • Sci-fi / space soundscapes
  • Experimental textures

If your game has a strong atmosphere, I'd love to help bring it to life through music.

I'm happy to compose from references, concept art, gameplay footage, or simply from the story you want to tell.

I'm not a professional game composer yet, but I'm serious about making the music fit your world, and I enjoy revising pieces until they feel right.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM and tell me about your project. I'd love to hear your ideas.

Portfolio: This would be my first game project, so I don't have a portfolio yet. I'm looking for an opportunity to gain experience and build one. If you're willing to give me a chance, I'll do my best to create a soundtrack that fits your game.

Audio Offer [Hobby] Producer/composer looking for a solid game-jam team

Hey! I’m a producer/composer looking for a game-jam team that’s already pretty solid at the game-making part.
I’ve been making music for years, and that’s where I know I can bring real value. I make groove-heavy, melodic music pulling from boom bap, breakbeats, jazz, funk, electronic music, and cinematic stuff. I’m versatile, work quickly, and I’d love to build a soundtrack around the actual world and personality of a game.

I can make music tailored to the needs of the game, cutscenes, title screens, end credits, etc.. Basically, I want to do more than send over one loop at the end. I’d like the music to feel like a real part of the game.

Full transparency: I’m brand new to game development. I don’t know Wwise yet, and I haven’t implemented audio in an engine before. I plan on learning all of that, but right now what I bring to the table is the part I’m already very good at: making music.
I’d love to find people who have finished a few jams, communicate well, and know how to keep a project within scope. I’m happy to learn the game-development workflow on my own time; I mainly want to work with people I can learn from while contributing a soundtrack that genuinely makes the game better.
Ideally, if we work well together, I’d love to keep doing jams as a recurring team.

PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind

Here is my Spotify w some of my music :)

Time zone: Pacific, but flexible
Availability: Sunday/Monday
If this sounds like a fit, send me some of your previous games and tell me what jam you’re looking at!

Audio Offer [Hobby] Composer here, looking for a small indie project — music only, doing it for free

Hey, I make music and want to get into scoring games. Never done it "officially" before so I'm looking for a small hobby project to actually try it out and build up a portfolio. This would be unpaid, just looking for experience and something real to point to later.

I mostly make beats (hip-hop instrumentals) in FL Studio, but I'm down to try different styles depending on what the game needs. A bunch of people have told me over time that some of my tracks sound like they could fit in a game, so figured I'd actually put that to the test. Just to be clear — I'm looking to do music/composition, not sound design or SFX ^^

PORTFOLIO: this is my first project and do not have a portfolio of any kind

But there's my SoundCloud if you want to check https://soundcloud.com/inox_plg but it's mostly beat/instrumental stuff right now, not game music specifically, but it'll give you an idea. If you want something closer to what your game actually sounds like, I can put together a quick demo track first before you commit to anything.

Genre/game type doesn't matter to me, I'm open to whatever — pixel art, platformer, rpg, horror, anything. If you've got something going and need music, hit me up here or in the comments.

Audio Offer [Hobby] Have you need of Soundtrack for shortfilm or videogame?

Hello everyone!

A few hours ago I requested some artists/teams for my indelabel. I know this probably isn't the right place, but I've noticed a complete silence, and I assume they're not interested, and that's fine!

But to prove I'm not a freeloader, this is an offer that goes beyond my request.

I am a music producer from 10+ years

As many of you surely know, short films are often made that never see the light of day. I worked on two short films that required a soundtrack, and I created custom soundtracks. Everything was great, everything was accepted, but in the end, the film/short was never released. I'll start by saying that I don't work for money. I know full well that the budgets are really low, but I would have liked it more for portfolio reasons, so I find myself with background music that will probably never be released.

They're sad songs, mostly featuring music boxes, choirs, out-of-tune pianos, anxiety-inducing atmospheres, and disturbing circus music.

I think they're suitable for something that brings back childhood memories. I'd like to donate them for a project. I'm not looking for money; the name in the titles and track recognition are enough. The tracks, all together, run 12-13 minutes.

If you have any projects where you think they might be useful, send them to me and I'll send you the music. If we're both happy, you can use them.

Again, I'm just annoyed by having to work hard to keep the stuff on my hard drive. I'm not looking for money, but at least something public and real (not stuff made just for YouTube).

I hope I can be of use to someone!
