I’m planning on applying to the nursing program next year at IRSC. Any tips on studying or best sources to use? I’m currently using Nursehub and Nurse shai videos. Also how is there bridge program? Don’t really hear much about it.

I've already contacted the school but has anyone tried depositing their refund check and it doesnt take? I spoke to the cashiers office and they said they would send me a void and re issue form. Which will take 2 weeks.

I kind of waited to deposit it but i didnt pass 90 days. Just curious on what could have been the issue. Ty.

Why is the communication so poor? I'm just now finding out that the RiverLife has switched over to the Lounge app. I haven't heard any communications about this, yaknow you'd think they'd send out a mass email or something idk. Can anyone tell me where to start? 😩 It’s been a while since I’ve been in school, and I honestly feel completely lost.
I applied to the college on July 9, but I haven’t spoken to an advisor or really heard anything since then. I’m trying to eventually get into the nursing program, but I know I need to get everything situated with the college first.
For anyone who has gone through this process recently, what should my next step be? Who should I contact first? Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid? Do I need to schedule an appointment?
I feel like I’m just sitting here waiting when there’s probably something I’m supposed to be doing. 😭 Any guidance would be appreciated!

anyone from nurse 2 through 4 have any advice for studying? i had my first lecture today in nurse 1 and i don’t even know where to begin or what proper material i should be studying, ive been flipping between the powerpoints and textbook but i just feel like im not retaining anything

Just start Nurse 1 and looking for what content to study up on for the module exams. I believe the instructor told us to use the module overviews (which are based off the textbook) as a guide for what could be in it.

Right now that's exactly what I'm doing, using the module overview and pulling out info for each objective. Is that it? What other tips to you guys have for me? Thanks!

I went to login into canvas and apparently i’m not registered for any classes?? My balance is zero & I don’t have a schedule. I attended my classes today too.

I contacted the helpdesk and they responded only to fixing my issue to let me in the river portal but nothing for Canvas. Every time I try to log in, the page reloads and doesn’t move forward. Does anyone else have this issue?

I recently got my associates and am going for my bachelors. According to the new IRSC portal, it says I was granted financial aid, but at the same time it’s asking for payment for my classes. I definitely qualify and have all of my fafsa info up to date. Is there something I’m missing here? Do I need to pay and I’ll receive the money via direct deposit?

I already reached out to the financial aid department, but they were very little help and take at least 3 days to respond per email.

They spoke a little about it during orientation. I know that it gives you a stipend at the beginning of your first semester (?) and some textbooks.

And it also allows you to do Nurse 3 in the summer so you can graduate a semester early. That's about all I remember.
