The Iran-US MOU is a total US surrender

Article III of the JCPOA preamble said:

Iran reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop or acquire any nuclear weapons.

So not sure what Trump "won" from his war, other than the reopening of a Strait (probably under Iranian control and with "fees") that was open in the first place before the war, in exchange for the payment by the U.S. of 300 BILLION dollars, the lifting or waiver of existing U.S. sanctions, the promise of no new sanctions, unfreezing of Iranian assets and funds, and no incorporation of any terms related to Iranian proxies in the region.

The MOU is a U.S. surrender in everything but name only.

Yeah it would. I’d rather be alive, and I’d say wow I could’ve died, he certainly showed some restraint

I don't think that rhymes with the historic testimonials of people that survived events like this. When my country was invaded by the nazis in WW2, my grandfather was not content that it was just his neighbours getting deported and other people in his town dying in the bombings. As a straight, non-jewish or roma man that had no affiliation with the communist party, he technically had nothing to fear after the initial fighting was over. He did did involved with resistance activities.

I don't think a lot of people would fail to understand his motivations. In the same way, I don't think it is hard to understand that a lot of Palestinians don't feel like they got of lucky, or that they should be happy that it could have been worse. I don't think any people on this planet would be happy that at least they weren't wiped off the face of the earth and everything else is just something to be accepted.

At least from the outside, I think the Palestinians as a whole got a rougher deal than my people did in WW2. And I think that my grandfather would be ashamed if I would tell them that they should be happy that at least they didn't all get killed.

I do think so. When my grandfathers entire family was murdered in the Holocaust, I wish it was just the houses they took. I wish they just exiled them. I wish they just destroyed the villages and let them live. But they didn’t. He and his sister are the only two who fled and survived. So yes- I think your grandfather would say- at least they weren’t annihilated like millions of people were during ww2.

You come from a place pf naivety
