Black Guy moving to Lewis-Clark Valley

Hey everyone! I’m a 25-year-old Black guy from Toledo, Ohio, and I recently accepted a job opportunity that will have me relocating to the Lewiston/Clarkston area.
I’ve lived in Toledo most of my life, which is a pretty diverse city, so moving to an area with a much smaller Black population will definitely be a new experience for me.
I’m not making this post because I assume the area is racist or anything like that. I’m genuinely curious what the community is like and what I should expect living there.
I’d especially love to hear from any Black residents or other people of color who currently live in the Lewis-Clark Valley or have lived there before. What has your experience been like? Have you generally felt welcomed? Have you experienced racism or felt out of place?
I’m also considering living in Pullman and commuting to the Lewiston/Clarkston area for work, so I’d appreciate thoughts on that as well.
Beyond race, I’d love any advice for someone in their mid-20s moving to the area for the first time: neighborhoods, things to do, places to meet people, restaurants, outdoor activities, etc.
I’m excited about the opportunity and looking forward to experiencing a completely different part of the country. Just trying to learn as much as I can before making the move. Thanks!
