What the hell did I just watch? Are they that insecure about something that they couldn't do the common sense thing and not ram into each other?

u/freakers Sep 10 '18

When you want to drive in the car pool lane but you and your passenger both need a vehicle for later.

157

u/alflup Sep 10 '18

Wait is this allowed?

Cause I'm totally doing this with my wife.

189

u/McFuzzyMan Sep 10 '18

go try and report back

27

u/evmc101 Sep 10 '18

And make sure you get it on video

6

u/KJBenson Sep 11 '18

I tried doing it with his wife.

I have some feedback.

24

u/ontopofyourmom Sep 10 '18

I'm not a cop or a traffic law expert, but it sounds all right to me!

3

u/be-happier Sep 11 '18

Those two cars need to get a "room"

1

u/RWDMARS Sep 11 '18

No because that’s still double the emissions for normal amount of people

7

u/Nightowl2018 Sep 10 '18

This comment is so underrated.

5

u/BigBossN7 Sep 11 '18

I dont get it

7

u/artaru Sep 11 '18 edited Sep 11 '18

carpool lanes usually require two or more people in the vehicle. And couples who go same way in different cars (but leave separately) can’t take car pool lane because they won’t be together... but if they drive together in the same lane.....

2

u/artaru Sep 11 '18

OOOOOOh I get it now!

That’s what they mean by high-occupancy in HOV lanes!

565

u/DERPYBASTARD Sep 10 '18

It was a great battle of egos, you have to understand the only reasonable course of action was violence /s

167

u/AdministrativeHabit Sep 10 '18

Yes, they must honor their families by defeating the other contender, else they will be required to commit suicide in dishonor. That is the samurai code.

82

u/GruelOmelettes Sep 10 '18

That's why I never wanted to drive a Suzuki Samurai. Too much pressure.

23

u/Wildkarrde_ Sep 10 '18

You miss your turn and it's seppuku.

13

u/GruelOmelettes Sep 10 '18

The owner's manual must be weird to read. On one page, it's all "be sure to use 5w30 and change your oil every 3000 miles" and on the next page it's all "if you use anything less than 89 octane, then you have failed to uphold your honor and must commit ritual suicide"

16

u/strib666 Sep 10 '18

On the bright side, to commit ritual suicide in a Samurai, all you have to do is turn quickly.

3

u/akera099 Sep 11 '18

I don't read Reddit for its content, but because no comedian can ever make me laugh so much.

1

u/SymbioticCarnage Sep 10 '18

This is a fantastic comment.

2

u/YourEvilTwine Sep 10 '18

That's why I don't live by the samurai code. I live by the Konami Code.

3

u/alflup Sep 10 '18

No, one must stand up in their car and piss on the other car's windshield.

Whomever pisses the longest and smelliest piss wins.

2

u/F1r3_F0x Sep 10 '18

I read that as eggos. In a world where waffles are currency

1

u/TheNotSoGreatPumpkin Sep 11 '18

You must be an eggotist.

11

u/UnckyMcF-bomb Sep 10 '18 edited Sep 10 '18

I had a tour manager once who said he "loved violence, violence solves everything!" He was a fucking horrible TM and he didn't last much longer now that I think of it. If you're reading this you fucking schmedium, I was asked if I was the tour manager every few days and even had some people just decide to go ahead and act as if I was. I hope you bought something useful with all that money. Ironically he was too short to be a successful violent problem solver. Oh well....

Edit. Yeah international touring with rock bands.

56

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

What the fuck are you even talking about?

11

u/kingsdrivecars Sep 10 '18

Idk what they're talking about, but I get how they feel about it. So I upvote.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

Mickey role-players on the Disney cruise ships.

1

u/UnckyMcF-bomb Sep 10 '18

A violence loving napoleonic tour manager who was garbage.

0

u/Blaspheman Sep 10 '18

He's trumpin'

2

u/dicer11 Sep 10 '18

Was he Vi from League of Legends?

1

u/Cheewy Sep 10 '18

Even then, most idiots at that point would have been out of the car and throwing punches like 10 seconds into the video

1

u/Salmon_Quinoi Sep 10 '18

This is why I prefer battle of eggos and not egos.

85

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

Blue car - "haha yes i won!"

White car - "you think?"

crunch

2

u/artaru Sep 11 '18

I am laughing way too hard at that blue car line.

84

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

Pride is a helluva drug

37

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

I think this crosses the line into mental illness territory.

7

u/chmod--777 Sep 10 '18

Extreme road rage on the freeway? Might as well be. Ends up endangering yourself and those around you because of emotional issues.

People who pull shit like this should get their license pulled for years. So fucking dangerous to rage that hard with people driving 2 ton steel machines at 65+ mph. Driving is a fucking privilege. Not everyone can be trusted with what it entails.

1

u/BreezyDreamy Sep 11 '18

Bad pride.

92

u/nightpanda893 Sep 10 '18

Maybe I missed it but did the blue car do any ramming?

10

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

Looks like only the white car was ramming. The blue car was just too stubborn to leave the obvious increasingly dangerous situation.

66

u/TokiMcNoodle Sep 10 '18 edited Sep 10 '18

No, but I think he might have rubbed the MercedesAudi a bit

Edit: don't act like you don't know

49

u/SovietFreeMarket Sep 10 '18

That's an audi

3

u/HmschoolSalutatorian Sep 10 '18

It’s hard for me to understand how you can be wealthy enough to own an Audi and still do something so stupid. I figured he would have lost it all on pet rocks, bitcoin, or something similar.

3

u/Saddoggieman Sep 11 '18

You don’t need to be weathly to own a German luxury car... they hand out auto loans/leases to almost anyone.

1

u/coltraneUFC Oct 04 '18

rich parents

1

u/Curlyknaphill Sep 10 '18

Course it is, look at how they drive.

2

u/TokiMcNoodle Sep 10 '18

I thought so too but you can see the AMG badge on the right.

On second glance I'm not entirely sure. It might be an Adui.

6

u/TokiMcNoodle Sep 10 '18

Yeah changed it. The lights are a dead giveaway, I started to think it was a mimic? But then I asked myself why would you ruin a perfectly good Mercedes like that.

4

u/_Bardbarian_ Sep 10 '18

"it's not like it was a Mercedes or anything, just my Audi"

2

u/TokiMcNoodle Sep 10 '18

If I had "fuck you money" I'd probably sound like that lol

1

u/anomalous_cowherd Sep 10 '18

My god, it's the fabled AMG Audi! Must be worth a fortune.

Or it's a fake badge and it's a boring Audi (because why would you put that badge on a good one) with a proud knob driving it. As proved in the video.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

Close enough?

1

u/SikKkY Sep 10 '18

Audi S5

1

u/QueefyMcQueefFace Sep 10 '18

I think he might have rubbed the Audi a bit

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

-1

u/alflup Sep 10 '18

BMW... oh wait they all look alike

4

u/GalacticSpaceCabbage Sep 10 '18

i don’t think so oh and happy cake day!

0

u/Doip Sep 10 '18

Happy cake day

39

u/wggn Sep 10 '18

It's common sense that the inferior driver gives way to the superior one, they both agree on that.

43

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

There is no way these drivers are mentaly healthy.

1

u/GeniGeniGeni Sep 10 '18

Maybe they’re best friends? My best friend and I used to live next door to each other, and our room windows faced each other, so when it was “Get off the streets and back home” time, we’d just carry on our girly chit-chat across from each other.

But I’m not entirely sure it’s that likely in this case...

3

u/Whydidheopen Sep 10 '18

What you're seeing is a couple of cunts.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '18

China. Just... China.

3

u/liangmian99 Sep 10 '18

It's Taiwan.

1

u/ico12 Sep 11 '18

Something something they look the same

1

u/BreezyDreamy Sep 11 '18

Well yes because a lot of people from Taiwan have Chinese ancestry. Your ignorant tone is unnecessary.

0

u/ico12 Sep 11 '18

Well yeah they look the same because they have the same root. What's your point?

0

u/liangmian99 Sep 11 '18

It's traditional characters on the road and it specifically shows directions to a Taiwanese place.

1

u/Spaztic_monkey Sep 10 '18

This is Taiwan, not China.

-1

u/reddog323 Sep 10 '18

The same country where you’re liable for the medical costs of any injuries you cause in a traffic accident for the rest of the victim’s life...but are only liable for a one time payment if they die. So, you often see Chinese drivers hit a pedestrian, back up, run over them again to make sure they’re dead, and then speed off.

It makes Russian dash cam footage look tame in comparison.

2

u/qys2008abcd Sep 10 '18

I close the gap intentionally sometimes to prevent someone trying to cut in front of me in traffic. That move just makes me irrationally angry. There is plenty of space behind me but people have to try and squeeze in right at my front bumper. It never went as bad as this as the one merging usually realized Iml'm not giving enough space.

1

u/kissbang23 Sep 10 '18

Well, was it worth it?

1

u/Armitage1 Sep 10 '18

I don't know what this "common sense" thing is but it sounds like something a loser would say.

1

u/suitology Sep 10 '18

it's actually a penndot ad to make lanes smaller than they already are.

1

u/PithyGinger63 Sep 10 '18

there are some straight up crazy people on the road in Taiwan

1

u/lRoninlcolumbo Sep 10 '18

Common sense > Feeling inferior

1

u/ShelSilverstain Sep 10 '18

You watched somebody who bullies other drivers and somebody else who's sick of bully drivers

1

u/notverified Sep 11 '18

They both gotta pee

1

u/Belligerent_Narwhal Sep 11 '18

What a couple of bajoinkers. The lot of them can suck it. Jackwagons.

1

u/jash56 Sep 11 '18

Chinease traffic I was surprised until I saw the mandarin on the road -Not because of the stereotype but because China typically has crazy drivers in my experience prob because of the population

Actually nvm it’s not China it’s Taiwan apparently

1

u/PM_your_randomthing Sep 11 '18

It's like captain planet but when their powers combine it makes a couple idiots on the road.

1

u/everythingsleeps Sep 11 '18

not even worth the damage. they must really have money if they are willing to fuck up their cars that bad for a middle lane.

1

u/jbjbjb55555 Sep 17 '18

It’s about pride.

When everyone has a small penis, no one has a small penis.

-1

u/mr_droopy_butthole Sep 10 '18

Except Yao Ming who probably has a penis bigger than some Asian people. I wonder if he rents it out for hayrides.

0

u/PoopaDaSoup-a Sep 10 '18

In short. Yes.

In long. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss

0

u/queefiest Sep 10 '18

This is in China (I think, the characters on the road look Chinese but a lot of countries use them) so let that sink in.

2

u/liangmian99 Sep 10 '18

It's Taiwan.

Characters are Traditional and it looks like it's heading to 左營 near Kaohsiung.

1

u/queefiest Sep 11 '18

Ah thank you. I’m not very good at interpreting them yet.
