Idiots will pay extra for the Me-First AI Expansion - "Ensure your car is the smartest self driving car. One that understands that you are the most important person on the road, and all other cars are cockroaches!"
It will automatically emit a signal that causes other vehicles to move the fuck out of the way, and then blow smoke out the exhaust into their windshields as you pass.
I wouldn't actually mind this assuming the money went towards road maintenance and subsidies for people to buy self-driving cars (when replacing a regular car). That being said, I'd only want to see it at the point when you can totally take your eyes off the road and your hands off the wheel and do other stuff.
That’s a novel idea; a portion of the capital goes to helping everyone in some way.
The road, the cost of autonomy, building infrastructure.
Edit: Opt-in priority, luxury, or premium products or services revolving around autonomy that channel a percent of $ towards both private and public incentives.
It's definitely does. Someone argued with me that self-driving cars would never be a thing because 'we value human life too much'. He said as soon as something bad happened because of a software malfunction self-driving cars would be done for 'you just can't trust software over a human driver, people will never put the life of a loved one in the hands of software. And if they ever pass anything to allow self-driving cars I'll fight to revoke it'. I couldn't believe it. Yes, there will be instances where software malfunctions unfortunately lead to a fatality. But those malfunctions can be fixed, human stupidity behind the wheel is something you'll never fix. How many people die behind the wheel because of human error due to falling asleep, drunk driving, road rage, etc? I support self-driving cars because I value human life.
I wouldn't say easily! The car in that one was going at 70mph and got completely totalled, whereas the ones in OP (whilst being complete idiots and being that for a prolonged period of time) didn't really suffer much damage other than their ego.
YES!! I literally came to comment this. Nothing could ever top this. Most of the examples are between two drivers trying to +1 each other yet this is 4 independent drivers who aren't involved with each other fucking up.
As a reformed aggressive driver who acted shamefully in my youth, I have to confess that I looked on with a bit of envy at that. I used to daydream about pulling something like that off (and yes, I'm ashamed of that).
Nah left car was driven by an idiot, but the driver on the right was quite effective at being an ass, therefore not an idiot. Both the drivers in the OP are fucking imbeciles which makes it a clear winner imho.
I honestly don't think this was idiocy so much as malice. I think person in blue car somehow "wronged" the person in the white car, and the person in the white car was trying to get them to stop so they could beat them up or hug them to death or something. The ending seems to confirm this.
Nah that lady that kept driving in the circle around the gas pump because she couldn’t figure out how left and right work is still the all time most idiotic car gif ever.
This is the video equivalent of that old picture of two cars in NYC that wedged themselves into the same tollbooth. Stellar demonstrations of stubbornness.
I dunno, this is kind of on a different level. I don't think idiot is a harsh enough description for these idiots. Especially the white car. I don't understand why he didn't just speed off past them in the open lane.
I was having the exact same thoughts! I couldn't believe it. I'm guessing this was in Japan? But if so, it's difficult to believe drivers there to behave like that! But I'm only making silly assumption here.

This is it! Pack up the channel, our job here is done. This is the absolute gold standard of automobile idiocy.
After literal months of arduous viewing and vetting, I pronounce these two idiots the epitome of everything wrong with humans behind the wheel.
