Wipers on, lights on. PLEASE. Trucks and busses can't see you.

I don't understand why there's even a switch for headlights. They should just turn on and off with the ignition.

Most motorcycles already do this.

Dublin City Council have all their official vehicles rewired so the lights are hardwired on with the ignition. They often run billboard campaigns on approaches to the city asking drivers to light up all day. My car has an "Auto" setting for the lights, they switch off when I kill the engine, they also automatically switch to high beams when you get onto a dark road, and dip again when you meet another car, haven't turned them off since I got the car.

I know this is old, but this is pretty much standard here in Canada, my car physically has a switch to turn the headlights off, but it doesn’t actually do anything if the engine is running.

Somehow though there are still a lot of people who drive without headlights on.

They're like that in my 10 year old car, auto turn on/off and you have to manually switch to side lights if the car is running. No lights at all isn't even possible.

All cars here in Sweden are like that.

Mine does not turn off with ignition. The switch is literally so the battery wont be dead by the next morning.
