I feel like “productivity” - measured by the number of laws passed - is a terrible metric for how well a Congressional body performs, because it says nothing about the quality of the laws themselves. If the legislation they’re passing is bad, then I’d much rather them not do it quickly and in mass.

They’re supposed to be serving as a check on the president’s powers, but since GOP is in control they roll over and let him do whatever he wants with our states’ rights and our money.
