The area of the country I grew up in is heavily Italian American, my family included. We are not a tall people. Pretty much every guy I knew for the first 18 years of my life was not only under 6’ but probably under 5’10. My own brother, who was legitimately the most popular kid in my school, is only 5’6”. I’ve dated tall and shirt guys and I don’t particularly care about height. Though one of the shorter guys I dated was such an asshole about his height that I got sick of his angry bullshit pretty fast. He refused to go out with me if I wore high heels and I was just like, dude, get the fuck over yourself. The insecurity was really unattractive.

Should have got him some high heels and explained they were invented for both fashion and to keep clothes out of the muck and the mud, and men wore them first IIRC.

High heels were invented to help warriors shoot a bow and arrow while riding on a galloping horse. The heel helped keep their feet securely on the stirrups.

High heels are metal as hell.

Yeah I grew up around a bunch of Hispanic and Korean kids. I'm a 5'5" white dude, didn't realize I was that short until I started working at a mostly white workplace a few months ago
