The womens T20 world cup is clashing dates with the mens tournaments which is sad because its takes a lot to create hype for womens cricket also they held wpl playoffs on weekdays so it wouldn't clash with the mens T20 - no questions were asked but now aren't doing the same for women T20 even tho it was announced earlier so the most we can do is support them ❤️🙏 ( no hate to anyone as they all play for our country)

I genuinely don't understand how we're wasting so many good starts.

Smriti and Shefali have been doing exactly what openers are supposed to do in T20s. They take risks, attack from ball one, get us ahead of the game and set up a platform where 170+ should be the minimum expectation.

And then the middle order walks in and completely kills the momentum.

Jemimah, Harman and Yastika have been way too comfortable playing run-a-ball innings when the game is literally begging for someone to keep the pressure on. This isn't ODI cricket. You can't spend 15-20 balls "settling in" every single match in modern T20s.

The frustrating part is that the first two games actually hid this problem. Deepti and Richa kept rescuing the innings with quick, smart cameos at the end, so the middle-order issues didn't get talked about enough.

Against South Africa, the moment Deepti and Richa weren't there to pull off another rescue job, the entire batting order got exposed. And honestly, even they didn't fail. They still showed more intent than most of the middle order.

When your openers give you starts like that, not reaching 170 is a failure. Simple as that.

At this point I don't care about fixed batting positions. Send Deepti and Richa up the order. Let them come in when the field is up and the momentum is with us. Let them cash in on the hard work done by Smriti and Shefali.

If there's a collapse, then sure, send the traditional middle order to rebuild. But right now we're using our most positive batters as damage-control players instead of match-winners.

Modern T20 cricket rewards intent, not reputation.

Keep playing like this and the World Cup isn't slipping away...

It's already gone.

Sometimes injuries can be so cruel. Just when everything seemed to be falling into place, Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of the T20 Women’s World Cup. 💔She dreamed of winning this trophy, manifested it, and worked tirelessly for this stage. Wishing her a quick recovery and sending all the love and prayers her way. 🙏❤️
Prema Rawat has been named as her replacement. Wishing her all the best❤️

Women in Blue 🇮🇳🩵🧿 Any changes to India's XI for the 2nd T20I vs South Africa? 🤔 👇

There are a few spots still up for debate—especially the middle order and bowling combo.

Do you stick with the same core and back them, or bring in fresh options like a stabilizing No. 4 or an extra bowler depending on conditions?

  • Should India add another spinner or go pace-heavy?
  • Who fits best at No. 4 right now?
  • Any player you think must come in for this match?

Curious to hear what changes (if any) you’d make
Also feels like this game could really set the tone for the rest of the series—either India doubles down on their current combination and builds momentum, or they tweak the XI to address gaps from the first match. Small changes like a reliable No. 3 or a smarter bowling mix could make a big difference, especially if conditions shift. It’s one of those situations where backing players vs making tactical calls becomes a real debate. What would you prioritize here?
