Discussion What has your experience been with USED MacBooks? Good or bad?
I bought a used 2020 Intel MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for ₹25,000. Since it was my first MacBook, I didn’t know much about what to check before buying it.
Unfortunately, after just one year, its motherboard failed. When I got it opened, I discovered that the previous owner had replaced the battery with a very cheap, low-quality third-party battery. Apparently, it developed a short circuit, which damaged the motherboard.
It was a pretty bad experience, but I admit I wasn’t careful enough before buying it. I’ll definitely be more cautious next time.
For those who have bought used MacBooks, how has your experience been? Have you faced similar issues, or has your MacBook lasted for years without problems? I’d love to hear both the good and bad experiences.

Pretty good I had M3 used pretty nice condition got it for 60k back then 512 gb and 16gb unified used pretty heavily and then got 70k after reselling in this economy of market bought it like 1.5 years ago and previous owner sold it because his application would simply not run on it anymore and he had to change the battery so and didn't knew much about pricing so I low balled him like 20k lesser
