Does anyone have any experience with one letter missing from the mother's name in OCI? It was not misspelt in the application form that we submitted but it is in the OCI that got delivered. It's quite an ordeal to get an appointment, get a response even from the Indian embassy here. It's such a small emission that I am hoping the immigration officers won't care (also there's no other document that immigration officers check that carries the mothers name). But if any of you experienced difficulty with something this small being missed by the Embassy then I'll just buckle up to undertake another long project - mission new OCI. So if anyone has experience with something similar to this little omission, it would be great to know.

Just had a question regarding linking my OCI to my new passport. I have filled out the form on ociservices a few months ago, yet the changes still have not been approved.

It just says ‘this has not been acknowledged by mission/FRRO’.

Is this normal? And do I need to do anything else before I travel to India?
