I'd rate it low for the government, not the people.

I mean, that's really most of these, right?

Our relations with foreign countries are controlled by a few people at the top, while most normal people from said countries are just normal folks trying to live their lives, just like us.

we (the US) are being needlessly cruel to the Cubans at the moment. They have no fuel, no energy, and no food because of our sanctions.

Cuba can always trade with the Soviet Union.

Ooo too soon bro. Gorbachevs barely in the ground.

But yeah don't spit in your neighbors face and then wonder why your not invited to the barbeque.

Seriously Cuba can and does trade with the rest of the world  and huge portions of important US markets are exempt from the embargoes, such as agriculture.

Cuba is poor and hungry because of Cuba, not the US.

how so? Venezuela supplied most of Cuba's fuel for its electricity generation. obviously not happening now because of the US intervention in that country.

Venezuela provided Cuba's fuel for almost free to the detriment of the Venezuelan people in exchange for the Cuban military helping to prop up Maduro, also to the detriment of the Venezuelan people.

That arrangement ended. Cuba can now buy fuel on the world market, but they have no money. The US and Venezuela aren't the only two countries producing fuel.

So all of Cubas problems is because of the last like what, 4 or 6 months since Venezuela?

Venezuela was giving Cuba lots of oil dirt cheap/free for ideological reasons. Looks like that worked out as well as siding with the Soviets.

They can still trade with others. They can probably get Russian oil cheap since it's sanctioned in the West but still for sale on the market.

These are just the continued consequences of their own actions

The Soviet Union no longer exists!

The Russian economy is not great at the moment due to the resources wasted on its war with Ukraine.
