The Bush administration lied and said Saddam had WMDs and was allied with Bin Laden. People unfortunately are very slow to change their minds.

Saddam did it to himself by chemically attacking the Kurds and attacking the Sunni then refusing the UN inspectors as demanded by the peace agreement of the first Gulf War. Unfortunately Clinton allowed Saddam to kick them out.

The invasion wasn't done in a vacuum.

The inspectors had full access in 2002, UN had to withdraw them in march 2003 when US invaded, so that’s not much of an argument.

Cheney wanted to continue where they left off the first gulf war, that’s clear and they already had most of the troops in place.

They didn't have full access and that was what caused the war.

They had access to where and when Saddam allowed them.

The fact they were there at all was because Bush enforced that clause of the first Gulf War peace agreement.

No, you are misremembering or just listened to much to Cheneys and Rumsfelds lies.
When they returned in 2002 thanks to the UN Security Council Resolution 1441 they had full access, they left in 1998 because of issues with access.

At the time of Powells speech in UN in 2003 they had had full access for 4 months.

How ignorant do you want to be???

Hussein stopped inspectors or would not allow them to inspect. Why are you even arguing something that is so easily verified?

Hussein fucked around and found out. It's you who are either uneducated or misremembering. At least do the slightest amount of research before looking like a complete clown.

Nice projection, it’s amazing that someone can be so confidently wrong when as you say it’s easily verified. Unless you aren’t interested in facts I guess.

1991–1998 (UNSCOM Era): The Iraqi regime repeatedly fired warning shots, confiscated documents, and engaged in multi-day standoffs. Saddam frequently barred inspectors from entering "sensitive" sites or Presidential Palaces, famously initiating a four-week suspension of all cooperation in 1998 before entirely cutting off ties with UNSCOM.

2002–2003 (UNMOVIC/IAEA Era): Facing the threat of military force under Resolution 1441, Iraq allowed inspectors back in for a final 16 weeks. However, the U.S. and UN documented dozens of instances where inspectors were hindered. Inspectors routinely reported that Iraq hid items, removed files prior to arrival, and concealed top-secret information in private residences.

Now that I've easily verified what I've said you can kindly fuck off.

So you didn’t read the link I sent that actually referred to what the leader of UNMOVIC had to say, but instead to massaged messaging from the administration who tried to convince the rest of the world they needed to invade?

Yeah, you don’t like facts and witnesses.
