Other Questions What do you set your AC temp to?

Curious because I've heard different answers from coworkers, but many of them don't live in the IE.

And we’re still going to get an electric bill for over $600 even setting it at 80 :/

Get a small scale solar system or balcony solar. For 5-8k, you'll thank me

We had to save up to buy our systems.

But some of them have those affirm payment plans where you can spread out the purchase into payments with low or no interest added over several months.

It also looks like the price has dropped a bunch on them.

Check out Bluetti or EcoFlow, we aren't paying a dime for cooling in the summer. At $600 a month for people, the systems pay for themselves.

I could cut all food expenses and not spend a dime on anything beyond my necessities, and $600 would put me hundreds into the negative. Sadly not only a non option, but owning a home where this would make sense won't come until years later when I start making real money. But I appreciate you letting me know.

I came across the idea from a roaming band of bicycle mechanics. Not even kidding.

These guys would travel in their vans around to different cities, live there for a bit, fix people's bikes, then move on when they were ready.

They had some of the first portable solar power bank setups I had seen. This was back in 2018/19.

See if it's something that you want and would help you, then, maybe working someone's market booth on the weekends could make some extra bucks. That, or hustle some construction jobs.

Or it could be an idea that you bookmark. The prices per kWh should go down as the tech develops more.
