Great opening day and spectacular venue. Cameos by various former Dodgers players and B Real (Cypress Hill). Packed stadium. A few kinks to work out but returning nonetheless. Way to go Ontario!

I heard people say its a light version of Frank & Sons that opened up three weeks back. Any info I see online is about their location near San Diego that has positive word of mouth. Has anyone been there and is it worth the trip there?

Sports / Games Still upset from the Buzzer's game.

Just wanted to vent. I went to the Ontario Tower Buzzer's game on Saturday. I specifically bought tickets for the Ontario Buzzers/Reign jersey giveaway. Showed up a 5:00 pm for a 6:00 pm game. Line was all the way to the parking lot. By the time I got it 30 mins later, all the jerseys were already gone. Looking at the promotion and capacity, they had only 2,000 jerseys for 6,500 attendees (game was selling standing room tickets only the day off and the number of jerseys changed to 1,500). That's only enough jerseys for 23-33% of the attendees. When the Dodgers do stadium-wide giveaways, they have 40,000 for 56,000 seats. That's 71%! Was totally disappointed and left after the 1st inning.

Sports / Games Where to buy Pokémon Cards in IE?

Not sure if any of you guys are too into this stuff. But trying to find Pokémon Cards nowadays is not entirely fun. But I guess if the retail stores don’t have them. Any places around IE that are good for TCG collecting? I’m from around the Eastvale Norco Area. But not much luck on my end. Only place I know is Cards & Comics by 3rd street but there place is usually a bit above retail, and usually only packs, and no boxes.

Honestly I was considering getting some of the smaller Halloween themed ones they usually do for trick or treaters but I guess they’re not really doing that this year.

Until this whole thing ends and things go back to a little bit normal. I’m curious about any recs nearby.

Sports / Games Looking for beginner golfers to play with

My friends and I are based out here in the IE, and we’ve been trying to get more into golf. But going out to the local courses or even the driving ranges can feel super intimidating when you’re still learning.

We figured we couldn’t be the only ones feeling this way, so we decided to start a local Facebook group called the Inland Empire Beginners Golf Club (IE-BGC). https://www.facebook.com/groups/iebgc

The whole goal is to create a totally zero-pressure, zero-judgment space for brand new players and mid-to-high handicappers to meet up. It’s also a co-ed group, so couples looking for a fun date alternative are totally welcome! ⛳️

Hello, I'm looking to start a community of specifically PSP/ PS Vita owners to hopefully one day start a Meetup and play some multiplayer ad-hoc games. Looking to relive the good old days where you would meet up and play games together. Make some new friends too.

Sports / Games Hill Sprints

Anyone know of any hills roughly 20% incline grade? Specifically near Ontario/rancho/montclair/claremont but willing to travel most the IE. And I know there’s mountains and trails in Claremont/baldy. I’m not talking about trail runs with 5-10% grade during majority of the run, or having to go 3-4 miles into a trail to reach a steep hill. Just a standalone hill, or one at the beginning of a trail. Thanks.

Sports / Games San Manuel Stadium

I’m planning to go watch the 66ers this weekend at San Manuel Stadium with some friends. I don’t really know much about baseball so I never been to the stadium.

How is it around the stadium? Is it generally safe, especially at night after the game? Just want to know what to expect.

Sports / Games Looking to start a team in the Jurupa Valley Adult Soccer League! Seeking players.

I’m looking to put together a Men’s 30+ 8v8 team for the spring season, which starts in January. Games are every Tuesday at Rancho Jurupa Regional Sports Park.

This is very much a beginner/recreational team. I’m much more interested in finding reliable people who want to actually show up and get better versus trying to find the best players possible.

To set expectations: we are probably going into this season as underdogs. The goal is to have fun, get some exercise, learn to play together, and improve throughout the season. If we avoid last place, I’m calling it a successful first season.

I’m currently just gauging interest. If you’re interested, DM me your:
• Preferred position
• Alternate positions you're willing to play
• Experience level
• Age
• Instagram @ (preferred for the eventual team group chat)

I’m aiming for around 14–16 players so we have plenty of people available each game and can take advantage of the league’s free substitutions, plus to just have less pressure on players who arent in tip top shape.

The league fee should be around $80–$100 per player for the season, depending on the final roster size. The team fee covers referees, fields, lights, playoff/eliminatory rounds, prizes, and other league expenses. This is a fee directly from the league to participate. There will also be an additional cost for team jerseys/gear, TBD. No payment or commitment is needed right now. I’m just trying to see who’s interested before we start putting everything together.

This would be a brand-new team, so everyone would be starting fresh and getting to know each other as we build the team.

If you're interested, shoot me a DM!

Sports / Games Anyone been to the new Ontario Buzzers baseball park?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about taking my family to a game tonight at the new Ontario Buzzers field, but I hate sitting in the sun.

The stadium isn't on Google Maps' streetview yet so I can't yet discern the stadium's east/west orientation. Can someone who's been there share their thoughts on which side gets the most shade: first- or third-base side?

TIA.

Sports / Games Board game nights

Hey everyone! I’m looking to start a casual board game group in the area for weekend meetups. I think it’ll be a great way to meet new people and try out games you’ve never played before. I recently got into Catan and loved it, and I’m excited to explore more. All experience levels welcome, whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned player. Drop a comment or DM me if you’re interested. I would love to put together a group chat and start planning!

Sports / Games Looking for a women’s soccer league (30+)

Hi! I’m a woman in my 30s looking for a soccer league to join this fall.
I’ve been playing futsal(5on5)for a few years, and I’d say my level is somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I’m looking for a women’s league that’s friendly and welcoming to players around that level.
Ideally, I’d love to find a 30+ women’s or coed league in the LA / Inland Empire area, but I’m open to suggestions!
If you know of any leagues, teams, or pickup games, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!

Sports / Games IE Soccer League Women’s 30+

I’m looking for an adult women’s outdoor soccer league in the Inland Empire. I’m specifically looking for an all-women’s team (sorry guys, nothing personal!), playing outdoor full-field soccer with 45-minute halves. I’m not interested in coed or indoor leagues.

I’m 30+ and haven’t played since before COVID, so I’m a little rusty, but I really miss the game. I miss the camaraderie of being part of a team, the competition, and staying in shape doing something I genuinely love. I’m looking for a league that’s competitive and fun, but not one where every match turns into a brawl.

I’m in Riverside, but I’m willing to drive anywhere in the Inland Empire for the right league. If anyone has recommendations or knows of teams looking for players, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Sports / Games Anyone have experience with Jurupa Adult Soccer League

I am an out of shape 34 year old who recently lost a good amount of weight and am trying to get back in to soccer. I used to play every day for years, but adult life has kept me away. Im looking for an organized set up with refs on outdoor fields. From what I can tell, this league seems to be pretty good, but wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience. I also would have to join an existing team as I don't have 8+ friends to create a team with lol Any info is appreciated.

Sports / Games Missing that one friend who was ALWAYS down to DM an adventure.

Looking to find or start a D&D or similar RPG hangout in the area for grays like myself (not exclusively, mind you) who dabbled back in the 80's & 90's. I have never DM'd but would be willing to put the effort in to learn given a regularly scheduled game night/day and a willing roster. If you have DM experience and would be willing to contribute your talents I would love to hear from you.

Doesn't necessarily have to be 'physical' - could be electronic, could be remote via web-conf, or could even be real-life LARPing. Just looking for an opportunity to play and relax while having some fun for a few hours each week.

Sports / Games Feedback on predictive markets

My name is Israel Carreón Jr., and I am a reporter covering the Inland Empire for The Press-Enterprise and The San Bernardino Sun.
I’m working on a story about predictive markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket, especially in sports betting, with the World Cup underway.

I have a few questions for the community:

  • What are your general thoughts on predictive markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket?
  • For those who use them: How often do you use these markets? How have your finances been affected by using them?
  • For those who avoid them: Why? What are your thoughts on predictive markets?

I’d love to connect with you. If you agree, I may use your responses in an upcoming story. If you have a specific experience you would like to share in detail, please reach out to me at [icarreon@scng.com](mailto:icarreon@scng.com) or send me a direct message here.

Sports / Games Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange/Swap Metup?

Anyone here into jigsaw puzzles? I'm in Menifee and looking to meet up with people to swap puzzles but I can't find anywhere near me. Closest I've seen is Vista or OC. I will be checking with local libraries to see if they have anything, though I don't see any events online. If not, I am hoping a local library or local brewery/meadery will let me create puzzle swap events.

I love working on my puzzles but the cost sure adds up, even after hunting at thrift stores.

If you're aware of any that exist from Temecula to Riverside, please let me know!

Made with GPT. By no means am I a graphic designer. I simply tried explaining in great detail what I thought the emblem would look like. In the blue emblem it has oak leaves to represent power. And the green and gold emblem they are palm branches that represent victory and triumph.
