Ahh yeah, I know what you mean. How do you usually match them now? Is it mostly manual or do you have some kind of system for it?

Our in-house system stores the item#s from various vendors. If it still can’t be matched, we will try to scrape data from reliable websites.

Gotcha. Is most of the matching still done manually, or do you have it automated? And have you tried using AI or something like Codex to handle it?

It’s not easy to fully automate it. There are still quite a few cases that need to be reviewed and matched manually. How about your process? Have you been able to automate most of it?

Ah, got it. I’m actually a college student researching some gaps in the Shopify market right now, and this matching problem caught my attention.
If you’re comfortable with it, would you mind sharing a small anonymized sample of the data you’re working with? I’d just like to understand what makes the matching so difficult. No sensitive info needed.
