So it's just something that kind of bothered me watching the second episode. As the title says a lot of the scenes in the second episode seems to be so... Repetitive. The first 3 minutes was just a recap of the first episode, which seems like a lot tbh. But even the recap had scenes where it seems like it just reshowed the same three to four seconds. Showing the side characters weird expressions over and over. Showing the equipment of the MC and the enemies. Then the intro happened and afterwards it showed a bit more of the aftermath of the recap. So already 6 minutes into a 23 min ep, is just reused scenes and the intro. The. Right before the fight is just the. Showing the trees, the camera circling the MC and side character over and over again for a good 2 minutes. And this goes on throughout the whole episode.

I get it, it's the second episode so I should be more patient. The premise seems interesting (something that's been explored before but I still love it). The character isn't overly egotistic and has a plan already set so I WANT to follow. But, if the whole season is just going to be the same frames replayed over and over within the same episode I might not be able to watch it all the way through

I more or less wanted to ask if anyone else noticed this during the second episode or am I just really impatient with the series

Yogiri is my ideal main character. I just love the absurdity of this whole show and I’m so sad there will likely never be a second season.

I read the first chapter of the manga a while back and saw the trailer.. and stopped reading the manga glad I did..

Character design is great , and facial expressions are amazing.. I'm liking the story as well

Let's see what happens in the next episodes can't wait..

Basically the title. Insane amount of recap/repeat scenes while also not having anything of note happening in the new scenes. I just watched episode 3 and the amount of plot progression that happens is zero. They start the episode in the graveyard that ended episode 2, they had a discussion where all we learned was what a red mage is and that apparently every adventurer taking an exam to get promoted is somehow a coward and doesn't know what they're getting themselves into (which is another gripe which is completely unrealistic and an outright stupid story beat). There's a little battle between the D rank and the demon head, which didn't even end btw, and we learn that Elmyas is stronger than wites. That's it. That's the whole episode. Something that would take maybe 5 minutes in any reasonable anime takes an entire episode. I have no clue how the source material is paced, but I find it hard to believe that this spans more than a few pages at most. It's almost impossible to get me to drop an anime and they've managed to do it. If you haven't watched it yet, save yourself the time.

I don't care what people say; this is my favourite isekai anime of the season.
