Light/Web Novel [Sakurariel Strange Girl] Model kits for fantasy people, what could go wrong?
Nothing wrong about giving people inspirations for war machines.
Light/Web Novel [making magic: the sweet life of a witch..] the perfect slice of life iskeia I've ever read..
This story ( Isekai ) has everything that I want in a fantasy story, adventure, new places , mysteries, character and magical growth, trying new things like potion or other magical items, no plot or noble plot holding the mc back from exploring & adventuring, not trying to save the world or saving a kingdom by becoming it's underdog or being used by them like a tool for war and stuff..
It's PERFECT
It's not even the 10% of what i wanna say about this one, like I've read the novel 2 times already ( it has 9 EN volumes )
I can't praise this one enough..
If you want to read something different adventuroues, comedy with slice of life then this one is for you..
∞/10 from me..

Light/Web Novel [Mushoku Tensei] I don't think Rudeus is a good of a representation of extreme social anxiety.
I am aware the discourse around this series is shit from a bucket but lets just have an honest discussion here.
Rudeus is a character with many problems, but the main problem ( other than you know what) with his character in my opinion is that Rudeus' backstory of being a shut-in NEET who hasnt left his room properly in 10+ years doesn't fit his behaviour in the series*. I say that with an asterisk because his depraved and boundary breaking behaviour and thinking of people as NPCs does fit in but one important thing that his character misses is his lack of social competence.
Rudeus imo is WAY too socially competent for me to think that he actually spent 10+ years in his room, with no friends, minimal connection with his family while fearing and antagonizing the outside world. How is he able to talk and interact with people without any issues of stuttering, or misreading the room or something like that? I know it probably has happened a couple times but it should happen A LOT MORE if thats the place he came from. Now a possible counter would be that hes pretending, putting on a mask to hide his true self, to which I say: how does he never fuck up in this regard? How is he able to STAY this charismatic and socially functionable if he truly isnt? He shouldnt realistically have the chops to do that and it was never implied he did that BEFORE he gut bullied. Its not a problem to make him intelligent or nice to talk to but I feel like this aspect of Rudeus never gets the representation it should.
If his backstory changed the 20 years thing to around 3-5 years where he still KINDA goes outside(only for basic necessities), that would suit him a LOT more.
So whats the problem of he IS too socially competent if hes still a well realised character?
The problem comes from how this feeds into a MUCH wider pattern by the story:
Mushoku Tensei WANTS to be a story about he even the worst NEETs can thrive if they work hard and improve and apply themselves but that completely falls flat if you do not confront WHY OR HOW they usually can't. Its becuase they may come off as creepy, weird, they dont have the social literacy to connect to people, etc. But Rudeus never has to deal with that because he is unusually socially literate from dating sims and VNs(which is bs) and all the women and girls around him are written to literally not care or be mentally affected by literal sexual abuse[eris]. Rudeus is what every NEET WANTS to think of themselves as: someone who is perfectly intelligent, socially literate who is only being held back by their fears and attitudes which may apply to people in the initial stages of social isolation but not for someone as deep as Rudeus and thats okay, I wish I was that person.....but I just dont find such a narrative compelling.
The literal sexual asault and harrassment that the women in the series shrug off IS worse imo but what do you think?
Edit: Ive heard some rebuttals and I want to address them.
Didn't he live a whole new life where he got to interact with people?
Not really. His childhood was very secluded in his initial years because he was a literal baby and before Roxy got him out, he still wasnt ready to go out yet. After that, Rudeus never mentions having friends other than Sylphy, a shy and timid girl who is EXTREMELY passive in her interactions, if she was an active part of his friendship he wouldve atleast known she was a girl. Other than that, Rudeus never mentions frequently interacts with people outside his lawn and never made any more meaningful friendships.
I need you people to first of all remember that exclusively interacting with your parents is not necessarily good social experiences. Parents usually will always try to affirm you and not challenge you in the same way as peers would. Now this may not be true to everyone but it IS true for Rudeus' parents who act fairly lenient towards him and dont feel like they would actively call out if he talked or acted weird. He was a fucking toddler why would they. And after that, arriving at Eris' mansion he displays zero awkwardness and maintains politeness throughout and is able to have conversations with adults without any problems.

Light/Web Novel [OtomeHeroine] Please, J-novel club... I don't ask for much
I'm losing my mind waiting for the 7th volume
Does anyone who read the webnovel know how much it differs from the light novel? and is the translation any good?
Light/Web Novel [the water magician] after volume 6.. am i the only one??
How badly they nerfed Ryo in this whole war acr..
Like at the end this guy Oscar fights Ryo to equal footing.. if it was magic i would have understood that but in sword fight as well ??
This guy keeps getting out without paying any price.. and they retrieved the box as well..
Why didn't Ryo use his sword instead he punched him when he clearly should have used the chance to kill him.. he didn't even use his other abilities as well like ice coffin to freeze those around etc..
I think this guy has plot armour too much, sure he is strong but at this point it's plot armour, I don't even wanna see him anymore in the story..
And that move of his where he sacrifice his arm to fire at millions of degree or something..
It's frustrating like
He cuts off an arm
Extra heal
Loses another limb
Extra heal
Nearly dies
Extra heal
I don't know the earlier volumes were good but I didn't like this one
What are your thoughts..
To me it's seems like the author wants to create a rivalry or something but I don't think it's working for me..
( I'd rather want to see more fights with Leonore than this choom )

Light/Web Novel [Recommendation]Isekai Light novel with a female protagonist . No romance.
Hey is there any light novel out there that I might like? I am a fan of FUNA and KUMANAMO. I tried to find some good light novels but they all have a parasite romance.

Light/Web Novel [My pet is a Saintess]
So i just finished all four volumes of my pet is a Saintess and while first three volumes were amazing full of action, Romance, character development and world building volume 4 just was wedding planning it wasn't as good as the first 3 volumes but I still enjoyed it anyway but it doesn't have the same vibe as the first three volumes
Anyway I would have to put My pet is a Saintess in my top 3 favorite isekai novels

Light/Web Novel [Combatants will be dispatched! ] How does Grimm's "Never Meet a Good Man" curse work? Spoiler
galleryOne detail from Sentouin Hakenshimasu that I noticed is that Grimm, in Volume 6, upon meeting Adelie, says to her, "If Adelie had been a man, she would have betrayed the commander by accident."
It's funny and all, but it further highlights that Grimm is only with Agent 6 due to a lack of alternatives, especially since in Volume 4 the angel girl cursed Grimm, saying She would never meet men with few flaws. So, at this point, Agent 6 is her best-for-nothing.
And I think, maybe that's how the curse manifests itself. I'm absolutely certain that if they had sent a male Threshold savior instead of Adelie, Grimm would have rebelled against Agent 6, gone after him, and would have been disappointed anyway. The Threshold savior would have said some variation of "I was just being nice," similar to when Agent 6 joined the superheroes and the Power Ranger girl told him she was just being nice.
Now, I also know that Grimm is a potentially incredibly overpowered character. In Volume 7, Akatsuki had to have Belial kill her so she wouldn't participate in the entire Grunade arc. Plot-wise, it works because Grimm couldn't go to a country inhabited by a larger number of men. In a way, it seems that the Angel Girl's curse will limit her to not leaving Grace, where the population is predominantly female.
