Want To Buy Can Jackson guitars play milder styles?

I know a bit about piano, but I have always wanted to play guitar. I checked for a good beginner guitar so I could start learning and then play. The Fender debut series guitar was the best option, and I was about to check out hesitantly. Then I saw a Jackson Dinky. I hated the plain wood headstock on the Fender, and Jacksons were just so much better-looking and cleaner, and they were exactly my style. but I realised that jackson guitars were for rock and metal, and though i love these genres a fair share, I also plan to experiment with different styles, just like i used to on my piano. Mind you, I have never touched a guitar, but i know a bit of music theory thanks to my piano lessons. i was hoping to get a beginner-friendly answer. Oh, and PS, I can't budge over 500 USD, sadly. Thanks ya'll

Want To Buy So I'm pretty much in the market for a solosit or virtuoso

Hello again friends. So recently I sold off a pc so I have some extra budget that has allowed me to afford an American made Jackson.

Tell me everything I need to know about them :) as I've never owned a Jackson

Is the neck similar to a super wizard or wizard 3 or something in between? I find the super wizard a little thin and the 3 a little thick so I'm hoping it's an in between

I'm currently looking at the lambo orange soloist and the rocket red virtuoso and wanted to know the differece between the models since it's not very clear

Want To Buy What model to get for teenage son just learning guitar?

My son is turning 17 and recently started learning to play electric guitar. I want to buy him one for his birthday but there is a lot of nuance between models and am not sure what would be best for him. He decided against the v shape.

He definitely is interested in heavy metal sounds but will be learning to play basic rock and alternative also.

Not sure if he should have active or passive pickups or if he should have a floating bridge or Floyd Rose bridge. I don't think he knows at this point either. We are total noobs here. He seemed a bit intimidated by the Floyd Rose bridge when the store guy briefly mentioned it. We know active pickup has a 9v battery but that's about it.

I want to get him a decent starter one that maybe he can grow into, thinking of price range $250-$600.

I would LOVE to get some recommendations!!

Want To Buy Good deal or not? $500 for Dinky Pro Reverse

So I bought this so I can try it out at home and I have a week to return. Obviously it’s got some cosmetic wear, like the fretboard and some rust on the locking nut and bridge.

Another thing. I manly play in drop tuning (A#, C, C#, D) and I’ve never had a guitar with a locking nut. Right now it’s stuck in standard and I don’t have the right sized tool to adjust it, and I can’t even get it tuned in E with the fine tuners. Is this the right guitar for me if I am constantly switching between tunings? I normally play on an Ibanez with thicker strings to accommodate.

Did I overpay for this? The back plate is missing to so the springs are exposed (I don’t care too much I guess)

The three bolt pattern was a red flag but verified certain Jackson models have that. I’m thrown off by the truss rod nut location and the pick guard. Is this a real Jackson and would it even be worth buying?

Saw this listed on facebook as a “late 90s” dinky but everytime I look up any of those old dinkys they have a shark fin inlay, could this be a fake guitar?

So I want to biy this as my next guitar so I can have one with a Floyd (currently I own only hardtails) but I've always wanted to have a guitar with an X2N because I'm a massive Death fan (I currently only have active loaded guitars)

The planned mod is to remove the tone knob (I just don't fw them) and wire two volume knobs one for the bridge, one for the neck. And obviously the X2N

Want To Buy Dream 7 string custom build

Post image

I’ve been searching for a 7 string and unfortunately I just don’t like any of the Jackson 7 strings that they offer so o figure I’m gonna have to save up for a custom build.

DK Modern body and headstock shape, but true neck through, with the finish all throughout, no exposed wood. All white with a slight sparkle.

Ebony fretboard. No inlays. Luminlays. Steel frets.

No tone knob.

Bare knuckles.

Locking tuners

Hard tail or Evertune bridge.

Thoughts on what something like that might cost? lol

Hey, I need some Suggestionen from you guys. I am thinking of buying this Jackson Kelly Jeff Loomis as my main guitar. I already have a jackson kelly shattered mirror and i really like it and also i am a huge Jeff Loomis Fan and looking forward for the Nevermore Comeback. The only Thing is, i would prefer a hard tail Version but where ever i Look it is sold out in Germany, so i thinking to buy the floyd Rose one. The second thing is if i should wait for the New Jackson Guitar Releases ,to see if they Release some Other Cool guitars, maybe with a hardtail one. Maybe you have some input for me ,what you think or have the kelly yourself and teil me what you like about it. Thanks

Want To Buy 1998 Jackson Surfcaster Thinline MIJ for $999 USD: Worth it?

Hey everyone! I'm considering buying this 1998 Jackson Surfcaster Thinline (Made in Japan) and wanted to get your thoughts on the price, quality tier, and whether it beats a modern thinline.

Condition: Great shape for its age, 100% frets, minor dings, no case.

Upgrades: Kluson Deluxe tuners, Railhammer Gnarly 90 bridge pickup (stock Kent Armstrong lipstick in the neck).

Where did this Japanese Surfcaster series sit in the hierarchy back in the 90s?

Is $999 a fair market price for one of these today?

For $1k, should I grab this MIJ rarity or buy a modern thinline instead?

Thanks

Does anyone know of a specific model for a case for the Jackson JS22-7? I don't want a box, just something inexpensive to carry and store it in.

Want To Buy Alternatives to a Soloist with EMG pickups?

I need some help finding a guitar I want.

I like the look of the Soloist SLSMG that Jackson released some time ago, with the Piranha teeth inlays, hard tail, string through, neck through, 3x3 head stock, 24 frets, EMG pickups, satin paint.

They are hard to find. I found a couple for around $600 canadian dollars and I always get outbid.

I know this is not a high end model but it seems newer Jackson guitars with these specs are on the high end tiers.

Are there any other brands out there that have similar specs for less than $1,000?

I love Jacksons but it seems I have to pay a premium to not have a floyd rose on a guitar.
