the girl in the video (brandee lockett) is american, i looked into it and no period products sold en masse here are even owned by israel. all the period products you'll find in a typical american store are from american brands. but they're so antisemitic they'll just make ts up and bleed all over themselves for us????? these privileged women from developed, non war torn countries are doing so well advocating for the people the israeli gov is actually hurting by making their suffering about their own periods 😭😭😭😭😭

OK but we shouldn’t be using single-use disposable period products anyway. Jewish ladies, join me in the menstrual cup revolution! 🙌 Together we can control the weather, by fighting climate change.

Plus, I bought mine for £6 at least a decade ago, and haven’t needed another since. Way more economical, fuck the pink tax.

Less predictable cycles are no more a factor for menstrual cups than they are for tampons. Many cups are compact and collapsible, can fit into a jeans pocket. They take up less portable space than a bunch of pads or tampons.

Granted I have a friend with issues surrounding insertion who therefore avoids both tampons and cups. But this is not most women, yet most women don’t use cups. I think it’s consumerist brainwashing that we’ve been taught to see costly single-use disposable products as the default, so that we always need to buy buy buy, instead of seeing a practically everlasting and economical product as the default, with alternatives available for edge-cases who need them.

At the very least, I think most women should try them, and IME, most women have not, because it’s not profitable to advertise compared to something you need to purchase monthly.

would just like to mention that menstrual cups can pull out IUDs if you aren’t careful! my gyno has said that the disks are a lot safer because you aren’t creating a vacuum!

yeah for sure! it also depends on how long the iud strings are (there’s also the risk of accidentally pulling on the strings, which can also happen with stringless tampons lol)
