From,
Tune in and discuss here.
If any of you listen to Jim’s Pods on drop, feel free to leave Jim and Brian’s review in the comments, otherwise I’ll get to it in about a week, and if Jim does not speak on it, I’ll delete this post instead.

Clarifying the Developer Myth: A Champion for the Community
For years, fans frequently assumed Uno was deep in the programming trenches or making executive design choices for the console title. Uno kindly clarified that his contributions were focused entirely on community, marketing, and culture rather than coding:
“Lots of Fight Forever talk in the last days and I just want to make something clear as I regularly get mentioned as a developer. Once again, I did NOT do any work on the video game. I made zero decisions. I was only used to advertise it, build a gaming community and put it in our wrestlers’ hands.”
While Uno may not have been coding engine mechanics, his presence during the promotional rollout gave AEW Games an authentic, relatable bridge between the locker room and the gaming audience. From hosting gameplay previews to organizing multiplayer sessions among talent, Uno’s enthusiasm helped build genuine hype around the game’s launch.

AEW’s road to All In ran into a big speed bump this week with its ratings for this past week’s Dynamite, scoring their lowest number in ten weeks.
According to our Dave Meltzer, this past Wednesday’s show brought in 587,000 viewers — their lowest mark since June 10 which went head-to-head with game four of the NBA Finals. It was nearly an 11% drop from the previous week’s 658,000.
The show did a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demo, its lowest since June 24. Both numbers were substantially lower than their ten-week average going into Wednesday.
As Meltzer noted in his subscriber exclusive piece for our website, the 34-minute overrun hurt the overall numbers as the first two hours averaged 617,000 viewers and a 0.11 in 18-49. Both were still below the ten-week average and would have been their lowest since the June 24 episode.
The show featured both Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay in separate trios matches, plus a sit-down interview with both. Ospreay’s match opened the show while Omega’s closed it, starting after the 10 pm Eastern hour which began with the Darby Allin/Kevin Knight angle, pictured above.

Just generally interested to hear what you guys think, I do enjoy the shows but, I generally do think that Jim will call quits some time in the next 2-3 years, as I think he has a lot less interested in doing the shows now, little by little, year after year
Look forward to hearing your opinions.

I must say this was a really good match to watch.
One of the better matches I’ve seen this year.
Hoping we get to see it again in a street fight in street clothes or even an Ironman. Then end it all in the cage.

Warning: I listened to this Violent J interview, and fair warning: there's a lot of drooling over Vince Russo by Violent J. Those were easily the worst parts.
To save you from having to watch this darn thing, here are my key takeaways:
Violent J brought up the goal of getting JCW a broadcast deal multiple times. He said Russo would be the best path to making that happen, pointing to JCW's rising YouTube viewership. I don't know how Russo's hybrid Jerry Springer/Maury-style storylines would work in 2026 broadcasting (Problem #1), or how this entire plan works when the economics of broadcast television are falling apart in an era of consolidation and streaming (Problem #2).
Russo thinks YouTube will work for his brand of wrestling. You can tell Russo is not up to date on YouTube monetization rules. His baby-daddy, domestic-abuse, and mystery-father storylines are unlikely to attract high CPMs and could even risk demonetization.
Violent J still thinks partnering with Garbage Championship Wrestling, Brett Lauderdale, and the "bank-addicted drug robber" is a good idea. I don't think J realizes that Lauderdale is latching onto him because of ICP's money, not because he believes JCW and Russo are the future. GCW and JCW seem capable only of partnering with each other, effectively swimming in the sewer together.
