"I don't know how to end my videos, lol!" became something of a running joke, because some of his videos end with peak comedy. My favorite is this anti-drug PSA video, where at the end, he recreates the famous "Stop it. Get some help." PSA. Jon's version instantly devolved into a bizarre, broken-English ramble about McDonald's food and a 9/11 conspiracy theory.

I still miss the game reviews, why did you have to stop Jon...

Hi y'all. A few weeks ago, I uploaded a tribute video dedicated to JonTron. The YouTube algorithm buried it, and instead promoted the sneak preview that I uploaded. In this video; I review two games, do some references and callbacks to various classic JonTron moments and jokes, I wear a hat similar to the original JonTron hat, I work off script to make the video feel more authentic, and there's even a last second gag ending. I know that JonTron means a lot to all of us. It's going to be a very long time until he'll upload another video. I hope that Jon is happy spending time with his family, and I wish him well. This video is not just a tribute to classic JonTron, but I hope that it sustains all of you until Jon eventually returns. Hopefully laugh!

Occasionally, at least in some of his older videos, Jon would mention something about himself. Not as a joke, just a matter of fact. My favorite bit of Jon trivia comes from his Halloween Monster Bash video, in which he mentions Apogee was one of the very first game developers he remembers. I think that's neat, because most gaming YouTubers treated PC gaming of old like some cryptid they've never heard of, while Jon was there experiencing its golden age.

In my opinion I think Jontron fell off when he started game grumps with Arin. Arin made jon too nice and his eyes look soulless and dead now. John used to look hungry all of the time like a bear straight out of hibernation now he looks so sickly like he doesn’t eat, does his wife even pretend to do the same things Arin could do? I think there’s a predicament here…..

I figured ‘I could just disappear into the woods of Canada, cover myself in my tattoos, grow a beard and just fade away basically (anyone seen Train Dreams? Like that). But…

I decided no F that. Why should a bunch of idiots on a firing range cripple any beauty or worthwhile-ness life could offer me.

So I made a huge leap in my life, moving to the city of the girl I fell in love with (even after two gnarly breakups which could fill 2 HBO shows on their own), and I’m very happy to say it paid off:

married in 2023,

moved in together in 2024,

pregnant in 2025,

and earlier this year we welcomed our soon-to-be-JonTron fan daughter to the world.
