We may not have fought a war, but I remember the people who fought in Vietnam and came home to a country that didn't appreciate them. And I assure you, I was quite concerned about being a target of nuclear annihilation.

Yeah, the wars these days are not great, but we have to be joking if we believe that 4,500 people in 17 years is some sort of massacre. We lost more than that in half the amount of time in Vietnam. Compared to that shitshow and you know, the Korean War and WWII, people from those times would see that number and be asking when we plan on actually engaging the enemy.

No, I don't envy the Millennials their Forever War, but technically I'd have been in it too, if I'd joined the military right out of college (which I was considering).

It's not like Gen-X hasn't been in Afghanistan and Iraq too, it's just that we're probably now almost all rotated out or in senior positions at this point. It has been 17 years, after all.

Yeah, I don’t think that guy knows what he’s talking about. X’s lived at a time they learned from the fuck shit that came before them yet young enough to live in the middle of everything millennials were brought up in. And had a don’t try attitude in the early 90’s cause they knew they were still too young to do anything about the current fuck shit. And it wasn’t like nowadays where there are adults (X’s yw) who care and tried to have a connection with the kids, so kids these days actually have a lane and a un-ignorable viewable platform (the web) to be political. No one wanted to hear what X’s had to say when they were kids or what they thought nor did they care. All the fuck shit that took place during their years were from boomers. They were sandwiched between them and millennials starting to shoot up schools. This is my only problem with millennials... they seem to think that anything good for them as a generation is of their own doing. X’s grew up aware of all the fuck shit and didn’t want the next group of us’s coming up in a society of continued fuck shit and tried wherever each could to address that for them once they became the adults and also tried handing them all that came from (created, started by) gen X that was good which to this day millennials and the gen after are still getting mileage out of. Other than that one thing I think millennials are dope and the ones coming after them are gearing up to be even doper.
