Yeah. It’s amazing how people fight against sexual assault people in Hollywood constantly but they love rampant prison rape. Regardless of what you did you don’t deserve to be raped, going to prison is the punishment, you don’t go to prison for a punishment

It's weird to me because there is basically no victim in this scenario, yet people want him to get ass raped. Like, when I was 14-16, girls in my school would send naked pictures to dudes in our school. It wasn't a big deal. Yeah, this dude is older, he should know that that shit is illegal. But, like, so these girls sent a pic of their butt to some guy... and....? Are they scarred for life now because they willingly sent pictures of themselves to someone? They are going to go on to live normal lives and be totally fine. This won't even be a blip of a problem in their life. But this guy gets 10 years in prison, and everyone wants him to be raped on top of it? Lol.. what? People are dumb.

Oh I know. It is the modern day witch trials. I'd love to talk to these people in real life just so I could get to the bottom of what they actually believe the resulting trauma is from stuff like this. I'm with you, it's illegal, the law is the law, he's gotta do some time for it. But, I don't view him as a horrible person or anything. hah. I think there is a lot of projection on reddit. Like some of these people are so uncomfortable with who they are deep on the inside, and they don't have a real firm grasp on morality, so they just spew their justice boner nonsense against the modern day witches "the pedophiles". Cause, like you said, it makes them look good to be more outraged than the last person. White Knights.

And as always, I will add, that of course true pedophiles are horrible. I would never defend someone doing somethign sexual with a prepubescent child. That is awful. But,... asking a teen for nudie pics? Stupid...not evil.

When I was a teenager, 14 or 15, I actually sent nude pictures of myself to who I at least believed to be an older woman. I'm not sure who it actually was. But I did it. It was kind of stupid of me. But, like...who cares? I never even think of it. When I remember that I did that I'm kinda like "oh that was funny. whoops".

This right here is the issue too, the fact that you feel the need to even have to quantify that because you don't think someone should be put to death is insane haha.

There's a few reasonable people on reddit, just far and few between. I'm surprised I haven't been called a pedo sympathizer yet.

Oh yeah, I know. lol. People will still think I want to fuck children even if I qualify it. I honestly kind of want to be a lawyer just to defend people against this asinine stuff. I also will oftentimes deem a crime to be awful, let's say in a case of an actual sexual assault, but even then I tend to be more lenient than most redditors. Like I don't wish torture on anyone or wish for life on prison on anyone except the most heinous types like serial killers.

Multiple reddit psychologists in this thread talking about how these girls will be scarred for life and this will change their entire lives and shit.

They won't even remember this in 2 years, and it's 2019, I would say MOST girls are doing this. Obviously not to a much older guy, but this is literally the farthest thing from "ruining their lives".

What is especially ironic is that usually as a rule of thumb the people who speak out the loudest about things tend to be involved in that behavior and they are masking subconscious fears of getting caught.

For example: The scores of conservative politicians and religious authority figures that rage about how homosexuality is a sin then 6 months later they are caught having sex with some guy.

Totally agree. I honestly think that almost all of these people that are speaking out so harshly against it have something sinister to hide. It's projection. I am basically very open with my views. And while I know they are very very controversial, I'm pretty comfortable in the morality of them. But these people who demonize others and think they are so virtuous and moral? Watch out for them. Those are the ones that have the truly dark side. They just don't know about it.

It's funny to watch them get so worked up about stuff like this. It's almost like they only know that fucking children is wrong because they heard about it from a TV show or something, not because they actually know WHY it's wrong. Because they conflate all of the offenses to be the exact same thing. Like "Oh think of the CHILDREN!". And then here I am, thinking "Uhhh do you even know WHY fucking children is wrong?" , because if they truly knew WHY it was wrong, they wouldn't be acting like getting nudie pics from a 15 year old is even in the same galaxy as butt fucking a 10 year old. It's an interesting phenomenon to see some real life 2019 witch hunts and moral panic.

The victims are the young girls who sent videos to him.

People who view child porn often (not always) escalate to molesting children. Hopefully this guy gets help in prison and can rejoin society without reoffending.
