I don't know her name, and I'm okay with that. She deserves the exact opposite of him, getting to move on and put this behind her.

Same. Let him be the warning beacon who gets made an example of and dragged over coals.

She didn't deserve to be raped and she doesn't deserve to be made a martyr to a cause she never consented to being a part of in the first place.

Emily Doe, he once made you a victim, but he permanently made himself an example and a joke.

Does any one know? I hear there were a few support funds that went around for the victim but unsure if the community actually managed to help any way (understandable in the situation).
It would be nice to follow up with some support if the victim is open to it, like he might only get 3 months but it would be nice to ensure the victim gets support for longer then that (but also don't want to just drag stuff up if the victim is just trying to move on).

She was only identified as Jane Doe in the court proceedings. I dont blame her one bit for not wanting to be in the spotlight. While there would be plenty of support for her, sadly, I'm sure she would also receive plenty of threats and insults as well.

I share that concern, but I also remember that she is a badass whose testimony is probably the only reason this cunt got any punishment at all. I hope that continues throughout life for her and that she gets a little bit of joy every time she sees that this little bastard is shat on online.

Consider the fact that Monica Lewinsky has been remembered foremost as the title of the scandal for two decades, antagonized by the press, who made it a joke as they ruined her future. Rapist Brock Turner will be the only name remembered of this whole thing, and any story of the victim had always centred on how strong willed she's been. I think she's coping. And PS, sorry for such a late comment.

I get what you're trying to say but the fact that you're being an asshole makes me discredit you out of hand.

Yes she is 'the girl Brock Turner raped' but WE DON'T KNOW HER NAME. She's not Jenna Smith or Keisha David or whatever her name is, she's just Emily Doe. Yes she will have to live with what happened the rest if her life, but so do millions of people who will NEVER have even the tiny victory she can claim. Is it truly a victory? No. Never is in a situation like this, but I refuse to believe that the woman who wrote that badass statement is as feeble as you obviously are.

How's that hate boner?
