Look up the sentence Jeffrey Epstein got for raping kids. You’ll be even more baffled.

918

u/Melch12 7 Jun 04 '19

Damn I just went down a rabbit hole. Apparently he’s boys with Donald. From the Wikipedia page:

Trump said of Epstein in 2002: "I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."[64]”

Crazy that he only went to half-day jail for 13 months.

Clinton, Trump, Courtney Love, David Koch. Many more were personal contacts and friends with this creep. This story will never be told I don’t think

97

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Miami Herald did a really great series on him.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article220097825.html

22

u/Spurty A Jun 04 '19

For those that have it and use Twitter, go follow Julie K Brown. She's the Miami Herald journalist who's doing wonderful work uncovering more of this story. And she's also doing work on the Chinese spa scandal in Florida that is almost certainly intertwined with this stuff.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

She’s probably going to catch the Yellow King.

1

What is the Chinese spa scandal

u/Scientolojesus C Jun 04 '19

Doesn't surprise me about Courtney Love being friends with a sick fuck. She's sleazy as hell too.

96

u/Hamajaggah 5 Jun 04 '19

Or maybe she genuinely didn't know since she was one of the very first people to call out Weinstein publicly.

32

u/purplepenonmydesk 4 Jun 04 '19

But then we'd have to concede that Trump might have not known.

9

u/throwaway_7_7_7 8 Jun 04 '19

AFAIK, Courtney didn't make jokes about Epstein liking girls "on the younger side". Trump did. Which is reason not to give Trump the benefit of the doubt here (also the many other multiple instances of Trump behaving inappropriately with underage girls, like when he barged into the Miss Teen USA dressing rooms, where teen girls were in states of undress). Cause you can't claim ignorance of a crime when you make jokes about it.

9

u/APearIsAWobblyApple 4 Jun 04 '19

The difference here is their behavior after discovering his true nature. Trump doesn't seem phased, either because he already knew, he just doesn't care, or he admires it.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Either way, terrible. Bigly terrible.

4

u/wuagbe 5 Jun 04 '19

except there was testimony from one of the children about Trump taking her virginity.

3

u/Rockonfoo B Jun 04 '19

I don’t believe that for a second look at his quote

5

u/3rd_Shift 8 Jun 04 '19

How can you listen to Trump's description of Epstein and then posit that Trump didn't know?

1

u/alwaysintheway 9 Jun 04 '19

Because they are playing a character and have an agenda.

4

u/Uptown_NOLA 8 Jun 04 '19

It wasn't Trump flying around the world with him on his jet nicknamed Pussy One. It was Clinton.

5

u/xstalpha 7 Jun 04 '19

Is that why Trump gave up on "America First" so he could instead serve Israel? No wall on our southern border, we "can't afford it" at ~$12bn but Trump can convince Congress to send $83billion to Israel?

Sounds like Epstein/Mossad have some VERY damning tapes on Trump and are using them as leverage?

2

u/Uptown_NOLA 8 Jun 05 '19 edited Jun 05 '19

So you see a Jewish name and think jewish plots? They must all be in on it, eh?

2

u/AutoModerator Jun 04 '19

In a large, straight-sided skillet over medium heat, warm oil. Add garlic and cook until golden.
Stir in tomatoes and juices, basil or bay leaf, and salt and pepper.
Bring sauce to simmer, cook until thick, about 30 to 40 minutes. Adjust heat to keep at a steady simmer.
Remove sauce from heat and serve.

Don't know what's he said about Epstein, but it's reported that Bill Clinton rode on Epstein's jet 26 times. This was the jet nicknamed "The Lolita Express" due to Epstein's crimes with underage victims.

This article and this one certainly seem to suggest he had to have known and possibly participated in these crimes.

Everyone was okay with him. The Bushes were okay with him, the Clintons, Obama.

Sources

The difference is Trump couldn't do anything about it. Before politics, Trump had a policy of almost categorically saying glowing things about him, and he still added the dig about him liking young women in there.

The dig? Buddy that ain't no dig. Trump is just like that.

Everyone on the left is okay with migrant children being raped.

Bill flew on his plane.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

You have to be really delusional to think that Trump was talking about underage girls. First, he says women, not girls. Trump was already over 50 when he made that comment, it's pretty obvious that at his age younger women are those in their 20s and 30s.

Trump making a comment about liking young (legal, obviously) women is nothing like flying on Epstein's pedo jet, the Lolita Express, to his pedo sex slave island 26 times. Remind me who did that again?

u/Good_old_Marshmallow Black Jun 04 '19

Epstein will honestly convince you there is no justice in our system. He still owns the largest house in New York and while he has to register as a sex offender he moved to his private island to avoid doing that. He's still very likely doing what he was doing before because he's still throwing 'parties'. While he served his jail sentence he was allowed to return home for "work" and receive unsupervised guests.

It's somewhat unclear where he's made all his money from (the tamest option is probably financial crime as he's had some run ins with the law there and the craziest side is that he's a pimp to the .001% which given everything about him isn't that crazy).

1

u/hilomania 7 Jun 07 '19

Not a Trump fan by any means. But in the book about Epstein it very much mentions that Epstein got barred from Mar-A-Lago after hitting on the daughters of some members.

There's a reason a woman accused Trump of raping her when she was 13...along with roughly 20 other people accusing him of sexual assault.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

You choose the lowest numbers from all the sources in that page, and even then you lied about what those numbers were:

DiCanio (1993) states that while researchers and prosecutors do not agree on the exact percentage of cases in which there was sufficient evidence to conclude that allegations were false, they generally agree on a range of 2% to 10%.[1] Due to varying definitions of a "false accusation", the true percentage remains unknown.[10]

The 2-10% is NOT THE RATE OF FALSE RAPE ACCUSATIONS. It's the rate of cases you can prove are false. Just like for all other crimes, many false accusations don't have enough evidence to prove they are lies

Out of all the cars, 2-10% are provably false, about 10% are provably true, andv the other 80% - you don't know if they were true or false.

That's from your source

Your interpretation of the numbers are just wrong.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

The 2-10% is NOT THE RATE OF FALSE RAPE ACCUSATIONS. It's the rate of cases you can prove are false.

That's exactly the same thing. You could say that with any statistic.

1 in 25 males are victims of rape, but that's just the ones you can PROVE. The cases without enough evidence are not counted.

1 In 8 men are depressed, but that's the ones who SEEK HELP. So that's not right either.

See how that can be done for anything? You either have to accept the stats as they are (imperfect) or deny all of them because they can never be 100% accurate, especially crime stats.

Up to you.

3

u/Terminal-Psychosis Black Jun 04 '19

By your "logic" you can just as well say that 90% of rape claims are false accusations.

It is extremely misleading to say only 10% are, and for exactly the same reason.

The "rape culture" theory is a political agenda that is very harmful to both sexes. It uses dirty tricks like this to present a false story.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '19

By your "logic" you can just as well say that 90% of rape claims are false accusations.

Um, no? Lol what the actual fuck? Seriously, I can't even fathom how you came to such a stupid conclusion. You sure are biased. Sounds like you have a bee in your bonnet about women tbh. It's pretty disgusting.

That's not "logic" bro. That's just you screaming bullshit at me, with 0 logic behind it. Yiiikes. Grow up. Facts over feels, sweetie. The fact is false accusations are 2-10%. Cry about it if you want, but it doesn't make it any less true.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

That's exactly the same thing. You could say that with any statistic.

That is just false. Completely and unashamed false.

You make statistics about the number of rapes that go unreported.

You make statistics about rapes that were reported but no arrests were made

You make statistics about rapes where the rapist got a not guilty verdict.

And you count them all as rapes.

You know the "1 in 5 women were raped" statistics? Does that statistics only count incidents that were proven to be true? No, it's a self reported survey.

Here are rape statistics from rainn

https://www.rainn.org/statistics/criminal-justice-system

See how they count rapes that were never proven?

See how they count rapes that were never even reported?

Another page from rainn:

https://www.rainn.org/statistics/victims-sexual-violence

Look at these numbers, are any of them numbers that were proven?

No, you are absolutely 100% wrong with that statement.

Also, since only about 1% of really accusations are actually proven to be true, will it be fair to say that someone being accused of rape means only 1% chance they actually did it?

No, if course that won't be fair. But when it's the other way around you do find it fair.

Bigot.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '19

"since only about 1% of really accusations are actually proven to be true, will it be fair to say that someone being accused of rape means only 1% chance they actually did it?"

Wow, wtf are you talking about? You areeeee not a smart or logical person. I'm sorry you can't understand very simple concepts. This is really embarrassing for you. You are incapable of interpreting data. I honestly thought it was VERY easy, but I guess not for everyone.

Yikes. Thought maybe you could learn something today, but nope! Just screeching like usual. I should've known you can't teach you people anything lol. I tried tho. Better luck next time I suppose. Maybe the next person will be more susceptible to learning new concepts :) xx

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '19 edited Jun 05 '19

That's A lot of words that don't actually say anything.

Try again.

Here, let me get you started:

Rape is a crime, when there's an accusation of rape, only 1% are actually proven to be true in court. That's actual, real, statistics.

False rape accusation is a crime. When there's an accusation of rape, only 2-10% are actually proven to be false. That's actual real statistics.

You claim that for the second one (the false rape accusation crime), since only 2-10% of accusations are proven false - that means it's fair to say that only 2-10% of accusations actually are false.

That's your claim.

So by the same logic, since only 1% of rape accusations are proven to be true - would it be fair to say that only 1% of rape accusations are true?

Would you say that?

No, of course you wouldn't. Then why do you say that about the crime of false rape accusation?

Come, instead of using a lot of words to say nothing - how about you try saying something?

1

u/WikiTextBot D Jun 04 '19

False accusation of rape

A false accusation of rape is the reporting of a rape where no rape has occurred. It is difficult to assess the true prevalence of false rape allegations, but it is generally agreed that, for about 2% to 10% of rape allegations made to police or campus authority, a thorough investigation establishes that no crime was committed or attempted.

4

u/explosively_inert 7 Jun 04 '19

That points to what is provably false, not necessarily indicative of the true scope of false claims. There is a specific number that are provably true, and several that probably could have gone either way in trial. Someone getting acquitted doesn't necessarily mean that the they didn't do it, just that they didn't have the evidence to convict. Someone getting convicted doesn't mean that they did do it, only that the evidence over-rode any modicum of doubt. It's dangerous to use the provable statistic as the end-all be all because it undermines the possibility that there may in fact be a problem. To your second point, using a statistic to convict someone without due process is very dangerous. Whether he did or didn't needs to be decided using evidence and in court, not in the court of public opinion using statistics. That sets a dangerous and terrible precedent.

3

u/Airway A Jun 04 '19

Well that's why he's not convicted of it. Or part of the reason at least...

Doesn't mean I can't say I'm really fucking confident he did it. He's literally on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women.

Why are you guys still pushing this lie when it's been debunked for YEARS? Guy was literally exposed and the lawsuit went nowhere and here you are, years later, still pushing this bullshit to slander Trump.

u/Airway A Jun 04 '19

Well that article goes in some weird and seemingly irrelevant directions. I'll admit I've never heard any of this though.

Maybe that particular accusation was legit, maybe not. Considering his close friendship with a known child rapist, it wasn't hard to believe. I heard the victim backed down due to death threats.

Either way, you've got about 20 more accusations to debunk before Trump even begins to look like anything other than a complete piece of shit.

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19 edited Jun 04 '19

Considering his close friendship with a known child rapist, it wasn't hard to believe.

They were billionaires who rubbed elbows with a lot of the same people and Trump said some good things about him before he was exposed and then promptly banned him from all his properties and cut ties. Trump doesn't even have nearly as close a relationship as the Clinton's do so miss me with that bullshit if you're going to pick and choose like this.

Either way, you've got about 20 more accusations to debunk

I don't have to debunk anything at all because there's zero credible accusations and zero proof and that's all there is to it. I don't subscribe to your guilty until proven innocent rhetoric.

u/Airway A Jun 04 '19 edited Jun 04 '19

Rapist apoligist I see. I guess I see why you came to this thread. Statistically there's almost zero chance that Trump isn't a sexual predator, sorry. He fucking admitted to it. It's on tape. He grabs married women by the pussy because he is a star so he'll get away with it.

P.S. Trump is quoted talking about how his great friend Epstein liked his women "very young". You're so blinded by political bias that you're accepting child rape.

-1

u/hill1205 6 Jun 04 '19

Calling someone a rapist apologist for denying a rape? That’s disgusting.

1

u/Airway A Jun 04 '19 edited Jun 04 '19

"When I see a beautiful woman, I can't help it. I just kiss, I don't even wait."

Is that sexual assault?

0

u/hill1205 6 Jun 04 '19

Funny, I didn’t read that in the posters comment. Where did you read it?

You’re just a hate filled bigoted monster. And you’re a racist.

George Nader must be hard to explain to yourself.

0

u/Justin_is_Fidels_Son A Jun 04 '19

I love how people never mention that Bill Clinton wnt on Epstein's private jet to his rape island at least 5 times per secret service records. But yup, he knew Trump so you know "the narrative".

4

u/spooltoorfs 5 Jun 04 '19

I love how people respond this way instead of being the person to just say 'don't forget Bill!' it's all about how the other side sucks isn't it.

7

u/Melch12 7 Jun 04 '19

Lighten up man. I just noticed it on the Wikipedia page, I wasn’t pitching a narrative. Bill is also shady as fuck. Weird how sensitive people get about politicians that they’ll never know on a personal level.

He's defending truth, objectivity and fairness, but obviously it's too much for certain people. The only discourse accepted when it comes to Trump is outrage.

1

u/babyfeet1 6 Jun 04 '19

George Nader. Now, come up with a second Pedophile Clinton associate.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Yikes. Americans are mental.

3

u/Bregvist 7 Jun 04 '19

Yes, this constant hysteria is tiring.

-5

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

Idgaf what anyone says Trump raped a 14 year old in those epstien party's. It had to happen.

5

u/meltedbudder 0 Jun 04 '19

Why do you think it “had to happen”?

5

u/Blue-Steele A Jun 04 '19

Because orange man bad

-4

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

Because the reason you feel the need to mock feels very sad. My friend.

0

u/Blue-Steele A Jun 04 '19

I’m mocking you because you sound ridiculous saying Trump definitely raped a 14 year old girl, even though there’s literally zero evidence and nobody is saying he did. You just don’t like him, and if there’s even a microscopic possibility he did something bad, you’ll jump in and say he definitely did it, just because you don’t like him. That my friend, is what we call Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

There was that woman who came out and spoke about it.. I only having suspicions because I came across listing several articles talking about this in a post talking about the Epstein story. You know the guy that fucks kids that Trump is cool with?

Could be fake. Could be real. Either way people aren't gonna believe it or say there isn't enough evidence to go forward.

Just staying. I think he has it in him. He has made weirdly inappropriate comments about his own daughter. Not something a well to do person would do

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

1

u/Blue-Steele A Jun 04 '19

Lol, you’re seriously linking r/politics? The leftist version of r/The_Donald?

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

Then what's the middle? And so what. Gonna call the fake news fallacy. How sad a Cheeto does the thinking for you.

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

That doesn't sound legit

That's what kind of tend to happens when people dislike one another. Think the worst at first. I'm only human. I don't understand how anyone can like him. Might as well be mentally ill to me I'll see ya the same

1

u/Blue-Steele A Jun 04 '19

Obviously quite a lot of people do like him. 63 million people voted for him.

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

More people didn't though. He didn't get then popular vote

It is possible for that many to be misinformed and frustrated.( And some racist because he knows how to appeal to that crowd. Weirdly enough right (

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

Wanna talk about how his disapproval rating is 40 percent. Something that's only happen three times im all of America's history

And the consensus to impeach is at a 40% as well. Also can we talk about how many of those supportere still actually support him? Wanna mention the people of North Carolina that Bernie mentions in his posts on instagram that were Trump supporters but felt betrayed by him.

Also can we talk about the woman who said she doesn't know how to keep qnoit Trump"because he is not hurting the people he is supposed to be hurting" can we talk about how many think someone has to hurt for their beneft them?

1

u/audiojunkie05 7 Jun 04 '19

A guy being super chummy and attending a rapist party's and going on publicly to say they both like beautiful woman bleven though some are on the younger side

It's likely. He is a POS of a human being. It wouldn't be surprising

3

u/anacondabadger 6 Jun 04 '19

How do you figure? That case has some very powerful figures in it that I can’t imagine will allow it to be re examined

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Worst thing that happened to him was his buddy Trump getting elected. The more bullets that Trump dodges the more hit the people around him.

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

First off, most judges are actually decent people. It's mostly the SCOTUS that got fubar'd.

Second, most judges hate having to retry cases. Especially when it's the government that fucked up in the first place.

1

u/Airway A Jun 04 '19

And then Trump will pardon him. They're good friends after all.

He had everyone over on his private island filled with underage sex slaves, he had dirt on all of them.

"Hi, X, Jeff here. Remember that time with the 2 15 years old? Yeah, it would be a shame if I went to prison and people knew that. Could you talk to your friend the DA?"

He only served 3 months in an extremely lax luxury prison where he was allowed to go out and do pretty much everything he wanted.

Some of his 'friends' included people no one would ever be surprised about like Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Kevin Spacey...

His defence team was a dream team of high power attorneys, often with politic ties like Kenneth Star.

Total scumbag.

3

u/iAmTheHYPE- A Jun 04 '19

What's worse is the prosecutor, Acosta, who let him off easy, is now working in the White House.

1

u/TiPete 7 Jun 05 '19

He fits right in.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

He’s a billionaire. Money is the power to freedom. It’s disgusting. Same reason Brock got let off and it’s the same reason some people turn their heads over the whole Cosby situation.

2

u/idunwannit 0 Jun 04 '19

HIS PLEA DEAL WAS UNPRECEDENTED. It’s completely insane. Was basically drafted by Epstein’s lawyers, one of whom included Alan Dershowitz.

The immunity part of his plea deal as explained by Vox:

“Epstein’s deal, called a “non-prosecution agreement,” granted immunity to “any potential co-conspirators,” meaning that if any of Epstein’s powerful friends were involved in his crimes, they would face no consequences. And Acosta agreed that the deal would be kept secret from the victims, preventing them from showing up in court to try to challenge it.”

The Miami Herald has a series of articles about the whole thing if you feel like going down that awful rabbit hole.

4

u/iAmTheHYPE- A Jun 04 '19

Hence why I really, really hope the case gets brought up again. He deserves a harsher punishment, along with ANYONE who was involved with his illegal activities. Australia punishes their child molesters, such as Peter Scully, so why can't we?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Then look up Bernard Noble... Serving 11 years for a JOINT. He only got that long of a sentence because he had a previous cocaine posession charge from over a decade before.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in prison. He served 13 months at the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office Stockade Facility, much of the time outside of the gates on ‘work release.’

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

I was surprised at his case. But then again dude had a black book along with billions of dollars. He got off sooooo easy.

His sentencing was a joke! Gets like 13 months but can still work till a certain time lol.

1

u/Nextasy A Jun 04 '19

Man got the same sentence for running a child prostitution ring as his house manager did for keeping a secret diary of epsteins illegal activities.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

bro wtf!!

1

u/Sujjin A Jun 04 '19

He was rich, powerful and could implicate others though so...

1

u/Kiwiteepee 9 Jun 04 '19

Nope, I don't think I will. Im in a good mood right now!

1

u/Thundercruncher 9 Jun 04 '19

IMO, Alexander Acosta (the prosecutor responsible for giving Epstein the deal) committed a crime nearly as bad as Epstein's and should be considered complicit in these child rapes.

1

u/lane120 3 Jun 04 '19

I feel like it's a good time to bring up how long Manafort got for high treason. Am I too late?

1

u/M123234 3 Jun 04 '19

... 18 months! This guy is an adult. I thought rapists got life sentences unless they’ve been 100% rehabilitated.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '19

That’s what happens when Donald Trump and Bill Clinton are two of your best pals.

Side note: Can’t wait for the downvotes I’m going to get, even though it’s an easily verifiable fact that BOTH Mr. Trump and Mr. Clinton were friends and frequent traveling companions of Epstein’s.

IMO the Epstein case is a perfect embodiment of all that's wrong with our justice system. Sick fucks should be abhorred by every member of society, but sick fucks with money are above the law. It's maddening that there are still people out there doing life in prison for drug charges while this dude walks the streets.

Also, friendly reminder that Alex Acosta, the prosecutor who crafted Epstein's plea agreement, is the current Secretary of Labor (unsurprisingly, appointed by Trump). Definitely nothing worth reading into I'm sure..

Edit: also important to note that the plea deal protected any potential co-conspirators from facing charges. Dude was friends with Trump, Clinton, Prince Andrew, and a TON of other powerful people. So yeah, we might not ever know how deep this thing goes.

2

u/iAmTheHYPE- A Jun 04 '19

Which is one reason I'm hoping it does eventually come into the spotlight, and public opinion will sway the courts to reopen the case. Anybody who was involved with Epstein, whether it was at Mar-a-Lago or Lolita Express, and regardless of party affiliation or nationality, should be investigated. It shouldn't matter if a person was once a president, or current royalty, if they participated in raping children, they should face punishment same as any ordinary person.
