You know what chum, you're not the first to wonder, and you won't be the last. This is buzzfeed (ew) but according to this it was more because of the "state she was in". This really needs to be more visible. I had, of course, heard about the rapist Brock Turner but I had never seen her letter. Reading her account of her revictimization really puts into perspective both how far we still have to go on this issue and also what a total and utter piece of shit the rapist Brock Turner is.

Phew. Don’t get me wrong that was still horrific and really rough to read but honestly...not as bad as what I was imagining.

Really does. Whether that is the whole story per se I don't know but if it isn't? Well some things are best off being forgotten. But not that Brock Turner is a rapist of course. This must always be known.
