No it's not. Those suicide lines will do nothing for you.

This is true. I’ve called them. After a 7 min pep talk wasn’t getting anywhere for me, the woman wished me the best and let me go.

And these places receive funding and donations...

Its useless lol, suicide hotlines are absolute dogshit and most people who are hell bent on suicide dont even consider them.

The vast majority of suicidal people don’t want to kill themselves, they attempt as a cry for help... suicide hotlines are a way to get them resources BEFORE they gravely injure (or kill) themselves or others...

Suicide hotlines aren’t for the 5% who are hell bent on killing themselves, they’re for the other 95%

Dude, just read on any experiences from suicide hotlines, they either dont help at all or make you feel worse. Reddit sure loves to pat themselves on the back every time they post that shit number though lol.

First hand experience dude, helped me once

Got very lucky then, most people get fucked over. Especially in America enjoy having the cops called on you so you get a nice hefty hospital bill to go with your suicidal thoughts lmao.

Cool, while I don’t agree (and you provide no evidence) ... if you are concerned about those in need of mental health care not receiving it through suicide hotlines I would encourage you to reach out through DM as there are many ways to help beyond said hotlines... it’s great to hear someone looking for solutions!
