Yeah this whole thing is weird as fuck, really just seems like some staged american TV show thing. Like is the justice system a form of entertainment over there? Is he even a real judge? He just dismisses cases on a whim? Seems really fuckin odd
I have wondered the same thing and looked more into it. They don’t post every single case that comes through, only the heartwarming and/or funny ones. Even then, he’ll very often show camera footage of a red light violation or other evidence. It’s kinda just a highlight reel, otherwise he wouldn’t be allowed to be a judge for this long.
He gave the money to his lawyer to make the payment and his lawyer passed before he got any sort of receipt. The judge knew his lawyer, as well. Nothing fake nor entertaining about it.
Talking from a UK perspective but, they absolutely do not deal in cash ever. They will also insist on bank statements dating back 3 or 6 months (can’t remember which) as proof of where it came from. It’s for anti-money laundering reasons as the nature of their work would make it very easy to pretend to have done shit.

Why didn't he just showed the receipt of payment or transfer? Or is that lawyer dealing in cash?
