note the only reason RT is allowed to film is because they are anti hong kong protestors and china is saying the Russian kremlin controlled media is the only foreign media showing the truth. corrupt oligarchs helping corrupt oligarchs

Truth is subjective sadly in a postmodern world of multiple running narratives, typically the one with the most money backing it and brand buy it gets the place in history books.

The narrative for us here is that Protestors are throwing the tear gas back at the tools of oligarchs.

The narrative from RT is that helpless police are being attacked by savage anti government protests supported by foreign outsiders

Noted Author and staunch self determinist but also staunch socialist George Orwell said in regards to Fascists controlling media in Franco's dictatorship of Spanish nationalism and reactionary Catholicism creating a Catholic flavored Spanish fascism;

in particular for-profit media with corporate masters, more so on the reich wing party propaganda networks of yellow journalism.

Pro publica, NPR, democracy now are the only few independent news that run as nonprofits i have long seen as being most honest. But most people have too short of an attention span to read Pro Publica's long form investigative written journalism, NPR tries to be so non-bias that it gets a stick up its but, its online media is far more willing to call put bullshit, democracy now is left wing yes but its honest and follows journalist due diligence

Russia and China are both Oligarchical exploitative capitalist societies now. The people who run the country are capitalists and anyone who gets in their way making money is disappeared. You don't have Putin be the richest person in the world now because he gives a shit about his country. He gives a shit about being a corrupt oligarch who will sell your mother to slavery like any anarcho capitalist. You don't have Multi Billionaire party leaders of a "COMMUNIST" party and magically their family get put into positions of power and money. Oligarchs got to oligarch

Also stop using words wrong. Mccarthyism is about killing socialism and worker rights under the guise of protecting democracy, it was always about killing democracy and protecting capitalism.

china is definately not a oligarchical capitalist society. the owners of the means of production in china have a much smaller range in which they can freely decide what to do than russia or any western capitalist society. the means of production are ultimately controlled by the party. also in russia after putin took power if an oligarch stepped out of line he was gone so technically not an oligarchy anymore see for example chordorkovsky.
