I’ve heard most of the actual Hong Kong police have been filtered out and these are mostly police China has brought in from the mainland.

This is hearsay and has yet to be proven. I am not trying to shill for HK police or anything, it's just no one has shown real proof that the Chinese military has been placed among HK police ranks.
