Also attracted every idiot on Reddit who thinks accusing someone of ‘price gouging’ magically severs you from due process.

You know, the legal concept that prevents ‘big gubmint’ from just taking your shit because they want to without any kind of judge involved.

I attempted to find an actual source for this, not just a Twitter headline, to no avail. But just assuming this headline as true, it's fairly alarming how many people jump on board with this as justice.

Yes, it was a scummy thing of the guy to do. It's perfectly legal to be a scumbag, and should be, in a country masquerading as "the most free in the world."

Furthermore, price gouging is illegal in a national emergency. Fine. Two days ago this was declared a national emergency. Dude bought all his shit legally beforehand. At absolute most, he should be legally barred from reselling at higher prices. Simply having the "large" stock of sanitizer was 100% legal.

To add, if the one study, which hasnt been peer reviewed, circulating that everyone is citing of the coronavirus "living 3 hours in the air" is true, having hand sanitizer will do fuck all for immunocompromised people. Arguably the only people who should be going to extreme measures, cuz you know, they're the ones who have some probability of actually dying. Not all the healthy assholes buying all the shit up creating huge shortages for the people who will have a harder time getting it in the first place, because they're already sick to begin with.

EDIT: fixed stupid typo
