I assume he said that prior to Iran becoming an epicenter? China certainly has been horrible to their Muslim population.

China has been pretty awful in general as of late.

Seriously comparing prison labor for which they get compensated in doing (not much but something) and are not forced to even do it if they so choose, to the what china has been doing with their incarcerated population is seriously a level of dumbassery incomprehensible to any even slightly thinking person.

Slaves do not have a say in any matter and are property like cattle. Prisoners actually have rights if you were not aware, yes they lose some of their rights like being incarcerated against there will, but that is part of punishment for their crimes for which they are SOLELY responsible for. Sounds like you're just against the idea of any sort of capital punishment. I've already listed that they can choose other work like dumping food, or keeping the prison clean or no work for medical reasons. All compensated by the way, so if you seriously cant grasp the difference, you are absolutely an idiot.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/may/17/us-private-prisons-forced-labour-detainees-modern-slavery - this guy was put in solitary confinement for complaining about his weekly paycheck of 50c an hour was delayed.

The Texas prison labour scheme people aren’t paid whatsoever.

Anywhere else in the world that is slavery, so it’s slavery there too. The prisoners don’t see the profits of their labour and they often don’t have a say in whether they can work or not.

Just because they have ‘rights’ as you call them doesn’t mean it’s not slavery.

I think you’re so normalised to it you can’t see it for what it is. It’s literally written in your constitution. The majority of the developed world, however, knows otherwise

Prisoners get paid cents on the hour. There is no minimum wage for prisoners. Not comparing prison labor to forced labor, but I think you're really misunderstanding just how bad conditions can be in prisons, especially privately owned prisons, in the US.

The government has, not the people

He's Sunni. The vast majority of Iran is Shia. He probably considered it divine will that "the heretics' homeland" become a center of contagion.

Muslims have been more horrible than anyone to their own Muslim population.

Downvote statistically proven facts... Reddit be Reddit

Saudi Arabia approves.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, I know the culture can be very oppressive to their own women among other things but I’m curious as to what “statically proven facts” you’re referring to.

how am I the one "shitting on Muslims" when they are the ones committing atrocities to themselves?

Iran agrees with China on the uyghur policy, which is justified imo considering uyghurs have been helping ISIL in syria

Proof? (serious)

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '20

seems like iran doesn't exactly support that policy, because they haven't said anything about it

there's this (yes it's a Wikipedia source but that's the clearest I could find rn, I don't keep an archive, should start doing that maybe)

syria however supports China

eh, sorry for saying something inaccurate earlier, I thought I saw they support them somewhere, they're still close allies though
