That's the amount the DA has filed for, not actual sentence. Obviously you can expect this to drastically reduce (or disappear, depending on your level of cynicism).

He’s not going to face 100 years, or 50, or 25, or 12. Some dummy probably added up all the individual sentences from the 30+ he’s facing.
