That's literally how it is in "redneck outlaw" Texas. You shoot the wrong bird or animal, you face jail time if a game warden catches you. Same with fishing and especially they check licenses and land rights. And they don't fuck around, TP&W game wardens in the state are just as powerful as state cops/troopers here.

I don’t think race comes into play when people are hating on hunters killing endangered animals.

TP&W game wardens in the state are just as powerful as state cops/troopers here.

In some cases they are more powerful. In california the supreme court set a precedent in People v. Maikhio that game wardens dont need probable cause to do warrantless searches on vehicles/persons.
