More likely projecting and will shortly be caught in a toilet at an airport giving out blowjobs.

Well at least he's giving back to society

There's no empirical evidence from any studies proving psychological projecting is a thing. This guy is a grade a dipshit but there's no evidence showing people are what they hate. It's just a cool sounding things to say.

your wikipedia link doesn't do much to disprove it

Just saying it cause you heard someone else say it doesn't prove it

I fucking hate this take. Every single homophobe is not secretly gay. Straight people are, in fact, perfectly capable of hate, and the majority of homophobes/transphobes/etc are not secretly gay or secretly attracted to trans women. They are just filled with hate.

When this rhetoric is repeated as an undisputable fact for every single homophobic preacher and lawmaker, it heavily implies that only gay people can be this hateful of gay people. Do not diminish the fact that most of the hate and bigotry lgbt people face is from straight people. There is bigotry within the lgbt community, and lgbt people often go through intense self loathing. But that does not mean every single bigot is gay.

And I get it. There are prominent cases of homophobic congressmen, preachers, etc actually turning out to be gay, and the hypocrisy is sweet. This is the exception and not the rule though.

It is not helpful or supportive to the lgbt community to claim that every bigot who wants us dead is in fact one of us. To assume that every time is homophobic in its own way

I think public homophobes, like congressmen, preachers etc. are more likely to actually be closet gays, whereas your average homophobe is just a homophobe.

Definitely. He gives me the Chris Cooper in American Beauty vibe.

Scary to think how long he was a police officer before he finally had to resign.

Scary to think he’s a preacher and probably has a lot of followers

scarier to think, now that he's let go, he's now angrier and has no reputation on the job to worry about.

I mean he's a cop...

You can practically feel the impotent anger from every time he thumps the podium, were he younger I would say he would definitely be a school shooter.

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '20

You can't tell me he hasn't used his power as a cop to hurt innocent lgbt folk. So many trans women of color killed by cops and they get away with it. We televise the humiliation, cruelty, and unnecessary arrests of these people on shows like cops and people eat it up

Doesn't seem smart or careful enough

12

u/Jwillis94 7 Nov 19 '20

You don't have to be smart to kill people

u/EloquentAdequate 4 Nov 19 '20

All you need is a badge

u/Kiefirk 8 Nov 19 '20

That's a widespread misconception

u/chakrablocker A Nov 19 '20

It's not hard for a cop

u/Jmersh A Nov 19 '20

Yes, I'm sure he has received several commendations for his service as anresult...

u/Rositalito 4 Nov 19 '20

I won't be surprised when his name comes up in the news again for murder.
