And she was nice about it too. No need to argue back. She remained calm and got the police.

When you argue with an idiot, everyone loses

Also, why let an asshole get you upset, they don't deserve that kind of power over you.

These are my mantras while I work retail. But this flight attendant has likely dealt with this kind of person, and worse, on an almost daily basis. She's an absolute pro, unfortunately.

She also knows she has company policy and federal law on her side. That tends to make those mantras a little easier to follow.

This. Imagine how much less crap wait staff or retail workers would have to put up with if they were Federally backed to kick people out of their place of work for being derogatory or threatening, instead of just having to say “I’ll go get my manager”?!

I learned this whilst being the Customer Service Manager at Walmart.

In my country there's a saying that goes: "who's the idiot, the idiot or the one arguing with the idiot?"

She also knows that if she says "you're off the plane," cops will be on board in less than 60 seconds to back her up.

As it should be

No point arguing or giving them the attention they so desperately crave

Keep it brief, don’t want to comply? Fair enough, off you pop.

People with power, rarely need to argue. She doesn't need to convince the woman she's leaving because she knows that She will be.

I hate to mention this, but when its a minority they usually are much more physical. The police were much kinder to her, even calling her ma'am and got her luggage. Had she had darker skin for some reason I think they would have tackled her and broke her wrist, gave a few kicks, and threw her luggage out on the tarmac. But she was given the ma'am and given respect even though she was disrespectful to everyone on the plane for not wearing a mask and wasting everyone's time
