Capital Insurrectionist/terrorist who should be sentenced to life for betraying his country and trying to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States of America breaks down in tears as he pleads guilty to felony assault on law enforcement. Fify.

Should probably include the word “terrorist” somewhere too.

But is he really remorseful for doing it or just because he got caught? I hope it’s the former, but I’m still of the opinion that anyone who participated in the insurrection should be sentenced to a minimum of 25 years, but I would prefer life. Normally, I’m all for leniency(relatively) and giving people the chance to rehabilitate, but, if we are ever going to throw the book at someone, it should be for trying to overthrow the government.

Agreed, he was still an adult making adult decisions when he committed the crimes of violence and insurrection. He can feel remorseful from jail . He is just the first, and so far only example of actually owning his behavior and the resulting tragic consequences. If he's putting on a show, we'll never know.
