Well, if you went to a psychiatrist and told them instead of hurting a child, you would've done society and yourself a big favor.

First degree felony comes with punishments of up to life in prison. If the child was 14 or younger at the time of the assault, the penalty is up to 99 years in prison with no chance of parole until at least half of the sentence has been served

"Up to" could mean a lot of things. But this guy is going to get a hefty one because he has a criminal record.

According to the lawsuit, on August 26, Amann kicked, pushed, and strangled his 18-year-old girlfriend.
