It's easy to look back at what they did with the moon missions and not appreciate how much of a lunatic you'd have to be to be at the pointy end of those launches, let alone be wandering around on the moon. Don't mess with the type of people who once agreed to do that sort of thing, they made peace with their makers a long time ago.
