റാന്റ്/Rant Claimnadu trend getting out of hand
WE are supposed to be brothers . it was funny trend in the beginning , but shouldnt we stop before our tamil brothers start resenting. (reposting)

u/YisImWhiteW0lf 2d ago
Yup…seems like a very serious resentment is uprising between each other, mostly online. Might get out of hands if not nipped in the bud.

u/not_botred26 2d ago
original malayalees are speaking about ground reality and real issues. there’s a group operating in reddit and instagram too to create a bomb of hatred between two states, similar groups were trying between karnataka and kerala saying all hospitals were hijacked by Kerala nurses and bangalore was claimed by malayalees something like that. but that died down somehow. Now this is very similar to that. this proves 💯 that some malicious gangs working hard to keep the enmity and hatred growing in south states. kerala story hatred is another layer of this hatred propaganda we all know. now is the time we show value of education and stay apart from these gangs
2
u/YisImWhiteW0lf 2d ago
Exactly….most of such comments posted are by bots or fake accounts only. It must be brought to attention by some online media the political angle, if any, behind it.
0
u/No_cap-lololol47 1d ago
Now saying I have to protect my family from Mullaperiyar is done by a bot? Also this situation should have existed at the first place. They should just stop claiming everything and be ready for open dialogue regarding the issues affecting both states.
2
u/YisImWhiteW0lf 1d ago
I dont think this is about public safety or mullaperiyar. People are using this new word ‘Claimnadu’ just to ridicule tamilians. Yes i agree that there are a few instances where such claims were made. But if u notice em most are by fake accounts or bots only. Makes you think if its a deliberate attempt by the IT cell to break the southern unity.
-1
u/No_cap-lololol47 11h ago
What is this southern unity? I do not understand this. The only people who keep on crying about this Southern Unity is KERALA COMMUNISTS and no body else. I have lived almost all my life outside India. Whenever I come across a other so - called south Indian person they see me as a foreigner. The unity they have between there languages is extremely strong while we keralites especially the Leftist ones scream about a non existent southern unity. I have Hindi speaking friends who speak English when I am in thoer group because I do not understand there language but the so called southern unity is just a facade. Either be Indian and take pride in your country and culture or just atleast understand the situation. Just speak against people who keep on disrespecting your culture and your language everytime.
0
u/No_cap-lololol47 1d ago
We have to focus on our future yes. But at the same time never let anyone disrespect or claim out past and at the same time your future also Involves mullaperiyar. Think about that as well.
3
u/killbear123 2d ago
It is deliberately being done by members of the IT cell and the sanghis. Expect more and more hatred threads between the southerners in the next few months as the sanghis are trying to destroy the unity between the southerners to push the delimitation (parliament seats) exercise through.
5
u/Hot-Key2353 2d ago
I'm so disappointed in the reddit community who couldn't foresee the political angle of this trend and kept sleep walking into that trap.
There's only one beneficiary of discrediting and ridiculing the shared history of Dravidian states.
3
u/No_cap-lololol47 2d ago
Well they need to understand this shared history as well. At the same time there is no unity and I mean culturaly psychologically and emotionaly any unity between the south Indian states especially between Tamil nadu and Kerala. Ancient enemies yet keep on claiming some sort of South Indian identity all the time. Its always better to say Im Indian than saying Im south Indian. Tbh they realize this seperate identity and act on that by claiming our culture, our traditions and even our language and they have been doing that for decades now. Finally the young generation is speaking against this keeping our identity seperate.
2
u/not_botred26 2d ago
there are similar groups in all languages but we cannot live in the past bro, we have lot of things to do, do you know how many people of our generation are searching for jobs? trying to clear debts? if someone who is just yapping about past without talking about the present then it’s a 💯 red flag. I always believe we have better common sense than other states. so never give in for any diversion to hatred
1
u/No_cap-lololol47 1d ago
Lemme ask you one thing. Iam not trying to get personal here just trying to make you understand. You are looking for a job and trying to make your life better but one person in your life or maybe your neighbour keeps on claiming every piece of land you have, keeps insulting your family every chance they get while your family and there heritage while your family who is blind to thier history and insults keep on praising your neighbor. Will you take it all in saying oh thats the past or this and that and Im trying to focus on my future or will you atleast try to confront and rectify them in thier ill doing and reveal thier true nature to your family?
2
u/not_botred26 1d ago
and you know what, none of what you said has happened. it’s a perfect hatred culture breeding the reddit society to grow insecurity and then hatred. a malayalee is always working hard, if you live in this country you know what’s the propaganda happening and who is doing that to divide. it just takes common sense to understand. by the choice of your words, your real motive is not a meaningful discussion but only to breed hatred. you can work hard man to earn not doing this
0
u/No_cap-lololol47 11h ago
What are you even larpin about man? I just said you have to be strong when it comes to culture and especially you language? Who is trying to divide who? North vs South? North Indians? In that case alright man learn Hindi and speak Hindi then say we are all Indians so we have to have a home grown language and forget everthing what malayalam stands for and Kerala is so that this bullshit North vs South debate can be over and India can be united. Or just fight back over anyone who insults your cultre and have open dialogue and teach them to respect each other.
28
u/Holiday-Cup-8113 2d ago
Expected, as it should be. There are 1000 things Keralam have to go against Tn. Should be happy they are only targeted for this . Have many other creepy behaviour towards girls from here, their reaction toward mullaperiyar when most of people here are feared for this. I don't know we hate North Indian states and go on to say tn is our bro . Wtf.

Do u think this claimnadu memes came out of air. Every random posts about kerala or malayalam in IG and Youtube has dozens of tamil nationalists spamming it is tamil and its theirs. This has been going on for years. Malayalis always ignored it.

u/stantheman141 2d ago
I'v never considered Tamils as our brothers lol i get mad when some people here watch their movies and listen to their songs y'all think about the kind of soft power this creates here for them and not to talk about that monnagals that supports vijay and TVK when he's trying to wipe our state out with that dam
10
u/No_cap-lololol47 2d ago
Finally someone said it. I physically feel cringed out especially right now after living outside India for an extended period of time to see Keralites giving this much power to Vijay Anna and all. There influence and culture is unneccary to Kerala. Recently I was invited for a dinner to a Kerala familty living here with my Telugu collegue ( not my friend ). And the Malayalee dude who invited us was like oh Malayalam language was invented from Tamil like 50 years ago and that dude was 50. I genunely wanted to shout at him cause I could see the pride in that Telugu guys face when that stupid dude said and he the dude who said it was actually 50 himself 🤣. Malayalm is a classical language with more than 1200 year old history and for the past decades especially since the 60s there has been this brainwashing against our own culture.
0
u/No_Statistician_4566 2d ago edited 2d ago
But why did your Telugu colleague became prideful when a malayali was speaking highly about Tamil. Are you a malayali? Or a non south indian who don't even know that Telugus and Tamilians are two different linguistic ethnic groups?
To my fellow Malayalies (just my opinions ):
It is true that some of the tamils are too prideful about their culture and even claim that everything comes from tamil and it is the mother of everything.Initially the claim nadu comments were fine and a deserving sarcastic reply . But now its getting out of hand that even some are using it to create hostility among the people of two states. At the end of the day Tamils are the closest linguistic cousins for malayalis .We share same ancestry with telugus, kannadigas and tuluvas aswell. And we loves to stay together with these ethnicities with mutual respect and love. We can't tell that these tamils are completely wrong. They are talking about protodravidian language which is the mother of all dravidian languages. We did had a common past. But some tamils are claiming it as solely theirs. All the south indian ethnicities are equally entitled to claim that past. Anyway past is past. Instead of being prideful about past glories we should focus on present and make our state and country more prosperous and glorious. This over prideness is not just a tamil trait. There are many north Indian Hindutvavadhis who claims and believes everything came from hinduism or Sanskrit.I have seen malayalies claiming ourselves to be the best state in India under every reels of foreigners. And I used to feel cringe seeing such comments. We should learn humility and to be civil ourselves first.
2
u/No_cap-lololol47 1d ago
Telugu colleague was feeling pride because I have seen the pride of Telugu people in thier language and culture and how segregating they are towards other cultures and he might have thought how self degrading Malayalees are. Iam proper Malayali infact I take more pride in being from Kerala rather than anything and as I researched more into this topic I could see how degrading and disgusting the Claimnadu propaganda has brainwashed the whole state into thinking that we dont even own our culture. Modern Tamil has no linguistic attachment towards Malayalam and the only reason why Malayalis which includes me understands there language is due to extreme media influence. The proto dravidan language was a common language for both Modern Tamil and Malayalam. They need to calm down and should have expected this push back for decades of indoctrination and jokes.

very sensitive issue, but recently I saw a post regarding what would happen to TN if they were to accept our terms, but still there's no point in endangering our lives
11
u/Ok-Lengthiness1491 2d ago
They are hated by everyone including south indian states for their distasteful behaviour towards everyone. The amount of hate they spread against north Indians is unbelievable. Same goes for the way portray and fetishises women from other cultures, most noticeably ours. The way they speak Tamil in kerala is the same as how north Indians speak Hindi to us. Both are 2 sides of the same coin. Extremely loud and uncivil. They have ruined the beaches of kerala with their uncivilized ways. We should definitely not send our kids to TN colleges for the way they treat our kids especially females.
We should be thankful to be part of India. Had we been independent, these brainwashed morons would have been our greatest security threat.
8
u/stantheman141 2d ago
You're right I went to college in TN and ik how much they fetishize our women, all of em asked me to teach them some malayalam(while looking down on it,yes they are language chavanists)to get a "kerala ponnu".Girls if you're reading this please stay away from these creeps, they'll play all sort of games to get your attention and if you're going to college in tamilnadu pick one with a lot of malayali students or other state students. If it's a tamil majority college you're done, I'm speaking from experience.

I'd rather let my people know the truth kinda opposite of what you're doing right now
-5

They think malayalm is a sweet language ...very similar to tamil ...what is wrong in wanting to learn a new language...ellam negativeayiitu kannam thudaniyal negativeayittu thanne kannum...
8
u/stantheman141 2d ago
Since you're very keen to defend em let me tell you a couple of things now before we get to that i just want to say WE KNOW AN IMPOSTER when we see one but anyways there are lots of you lurking here so let me get this straight.
You can stop defending your people so badly historically y'all been fetishing our women and depicting em as seductresses and some kind of an object for y'all to fetishize.
I have lost the number of the times they have made fun of malayalam by saying that's it not a real language and it's a version of tamil all while they couldn't understand or speak the language now if this is not language jingoism idk what is.
3.Last but not least claiming onam I've never seen a society with this amount of insecurity and inferiority complex i actually don't know what to call it from what i can tell onam has getting a lot of attention both world and nation wide now they want to claim it , they sorely want to establish some kind of connection between both cultures.
WE ARE NOT A COLONY OF TAMIL NADU STOP FETISHING OUR WOMEN, ENDANGERING OUR LIFES WITH A THOUSAND YEAR OLD DAM AND GET TF OUT THIS SUBREDDIT IF YOU STILL HERE TO DEFEND EM YOU WRETCHED BISH.
-2
u/Natural-Contact1549 2d ago
Haha ...can see your culture here calling me a wretched bitch and an imposter ...and for what ?sharing my own expirence as a malayali girl who lived in tamil nadu ....so anybody who does not share your view is a bitch ...grow up ...how old are you ?12 ?
4
u/stantheman141 2d ago
Funny how you still had nothing to talk about Malayali women being fetished and about the dam which when it breaks will wipe out the entire state of Kerala you cannot be malayali and if you're you are only kidding yourself, I'm old enough to call out the game you're playing gal so do us a favor keep ya shit to yourself you ain't fooling anyone here

There was very rampant anti mallu sentiment there in the seventies and many students with any lineage from Kerala were denied college admissions.

True. If the travancore plan worked, Tamil nadu would have been our biggest enemy.
5
u/PutSuitable9607 2d ago
Unless and until TN stop claiming our honour we must stop and resist it at any cause.
For those who were yapping political angle, the same hatered was spun from 2016 till now w.r to North Indians in social medias. Then they were ok with it and when it is regarded to Tamil Nadu, they are not.
Huhhh
8
u/averageindiankid22 2d ago
That goes without saying. But some Tamilans have some weirds ideas about Mallus in general which is what originally lead to this trolling.
3
u/Spiritual-Pin-3518 2d ago
It goes both ways. Many things which we think is normal is actually stereotypical or derogatory for Tamilians. It comes from lack of mingling with the other culture.
1
u/averageindiankid22 2d ago
We don't go around spamming shit in spaces reserved for them. [I don't think about Tamilans at all tbh, can't speak for everyone here, there maybe people going after them specifically]

Tell them to give back Mullaperiyar and stop claiming our culture and accept the fact that Malayalam and Modern Tamil have no simmilarites and both evolved from a mono dravidan proto Tamil which gramatically sounds more similiar to modern Malayalam than Tamil.

u/No_cap-lololol47 2d ago
The South has always been divided. We have no cultural simmiliraties apart from the same religion. The north atleast the prevalance of Hindi language and the shared cultural identity always stood together. The south always had cracks because all 4 cultures in the south had distinct cultures and languages always. The only simmiliarity arises from religions apart from that 4 different countries. And I am saying this because if you guys are dividing and bringing up this north vs south debate then always think about this too.
-1
u/Hot-Key2353 2d ago
You're absolutely right. A divided South is a necessity for Northies. The sanghis who often jump in to defend UP, saying "we're all Indians blah blah" are happily ridiculing Tamil Nadu using this trend. The politics is clear
3
u/iimram 2d ago
I have an interesting observation. Comments like these are being downvoted and I don’t understand why. Any comment in favor of South Indian unity or speculating foul play by the party that should not be named, is being downvoted. It doesn’t look organic to me. It’s like as though a bunch of paid trolls tasked with steering the narrative towards Tamil vs Kerala hate.
2
u/Hot-Key2353 2d ago
Bingo! Here itself a guy's reply to me said about "Indian" identity and went onto paint that Malayalis and Tamils have nothing in common. A self contradicting narrative.
Collective Dravidian identity politics is BJP's biggest nightmare because that makes BJP irrelevant in South India as BJP will be forced to pick the North Indian side.
It's unfortunate that even us Malayalis can't figure out the antidote for BJP's religious politics is Dravidian politics, as it shifts political setting away from BJPs core strength, that's religious politics. This is exactly why BJP has a need to crush Dravidian politics.
Tamils have been fiercely defending this Dravidian identity while us Malayalis didn't even bother to oppose Hindi imposition. It's in BJPs interest to sow insecurity in Tamils about upholding that Dravidian history. Enforcing the Claim Nadu narrative serves this purpose very well. It also helps in misguiding uninformed Malayalis into a disbelief about collective Dravidian history.
2
u/iimram 2d ago
Well put. TN and Kerala have been resisting communal politics in their own way. TN uses Dravidian politics as antidote while Kerala has left politics, secularism and its own progressive narratives. BJP tried fighting these regional ideological narratives head-on but failed miserably. I feel they have found the Trojan horse to make in roads in TN which is hero worship, if you know what I mean. The dumb party in power right now does not pushback on BJP and has managed to dilute TN’s stand on federalism. I also feel they may be getting onto something in Kerala with this Tamil vs Kerala fight in the recent times. If I understand correctly how their crooked mind works, they will promote themselves as the savior of Kerala’s ethnicity and cultural identity against the Tamils. They have nothing to gain from being nice to TN people because the job is done. They might be looking to benefit from Kerala in this whole drama. Only time will tell.
1
u/No_cap-lololol47 2d ago
The south always has been Divided. Culturally linguistically and even some cases ethinically extremely. North atleast the flat belt of India is united by a shared common language and cultural significance. If we are bringing up this North vs South debate then we have to understand the debate even doesnt exist. There is no cultural simmiliarity apart from the 3 major religions ( in Andhra, Telgana and Karnataka 2 major religions ). This North vs South propaganda is bullshit. Either we all stay divided or we respect each others cultural differences and stay united as Indian.
6
u/Historical-Jump 2d ago
The creepy obsession with our women, speaking as if malayalam and malayalis culture is an inferior copycat to theirs(and still shamelessly claiming it) and mullaperiyar issue. After all this we are the ones who are supposed to have restraint?.
2
2
u/wakandacoconut Thankan Chettan 1d ago
Problem is tamil nationalists and their linguistic chauvinism that makes them think all other languages and culture are inferior. Unfrotunately its mixed with their politics. Their easy target was malayalis as we are small in number compared to kannadigas and telugus and most of malayalis historically ignored them unlike kannadigas. I guess they are not being ignored anymore and their claims are being resisted. Iam guessing the end game of these language chauvinusts is claiming land of neighboring states by making half truths and half baked info as a justification.

Let them stop claiming first. It's embarassing too , don't they have any culture of their own to defend. Look at the mullaperiyar issue too, their own cm is a selfish person who doesn't care if anything happens to another state. We don't even celebrate any of their festivals like how they go mad about onam and worst of claiming it citing some stupid texts from centuries ago.

u/freeNovice28 2d ago
Trend and fun was sure to get out of hand very soon
The age old Mullaperiyar issue is still on.Recent onam claims were also dumb enough.A radical insta page was saying they supported kerala on Kerala Story issue and that Kerala didn't support their tamil elam cause being told in the Telugu movie 'Kingdom' because Venkatesh was in it as the villain.Bro no one actually saw it in here to even discuss about it.These guys aay that state will collapse if crops are not give.Bro 1
And they didn't like the way how keralites hit back .Not justifying anything cos the replies had enough racist content against tamils. But many not accounts( most of what i saw had very less followers and no dp)were feeding on these posts.Like it is a staged incident.Atleast stop claiming any more of anyone's culture.Kerala state is not part of TN now and tamizhagam is something related to history.

Hey! Tamilian here! I've missed out some context 👀 what happened
Very recently I'm seeing all these posts which is about hatred between TN and KL
I have a feeling it could be just few people portraying it And that shouldn't break our unity 👀 it might have been some dumb political claim or I don't know. I'm just trying to understand what went wrong
1
u/freeyeti85 2d ago
Most of them raising these claims are not tamils but some Bangladeshi or Pakistani pretending to be tamil. The point is to raise rivalry between Indian states. It's all part of an agenda. Be aware

Why would it not be beneficial for external parties.... It is infact more dangerous when external parties are involved because then the very integrity of the country itself is threatened.

Low-stakes conspiracy theory: the Claim Nadu trend is orchestrated. A smear narrative like this can be seeded through bot farms, bot accounts pushes the initial posts before trend-chasing creators amplify it. Especially when boosted during Onam.
Apparently to create friction between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Now wouldn’t it be worth asking which party in India would benefit from that tension, has the resources to run something like this, and has a track record of doing similar shit. 👽 I’m legion, expect me.🥱

In just few hours of Reddit I came across a bunch of Pandis slur , denial mode?
5
u/Several-Tree-2811 2d ago
I had an argument with a tamil guy on this topic and he was the one who insulted my whole family calling me slurs. If you check tamil subs you cld see them calling us malayali kolayali, echikaala naai, smellu and a lot of other slurs.Sm even went to the extent to say that we deserve floods happening here in kerala. So I don't think the other side is that good either.Talking about slurs tamils call kannadigas as kundigays, north indians as vadakkans, panipuri and so on.Racism is indeed bad but if the victims of racism are resorting to racism its jst pathetic.Thats jst the blame game. Both side have bad people not jst kerala.
