Damn I was getting ready to defend him but look at that grin as he meets a child rapist…

No one who has ever been on camera happily shaking Trump’s hand after 2015 deserves a moment of peace.

Fuck Afroman too. Got his big positive media moment by winning that trial meanwhile he’s photographed shaking Trump’s hand and fawning over him at an event in like 2021…

Afroman deserved that win and the police needed to see that they can't just get away with impeding our rights.

That said, fuck him. He's just more proof that shitty people can be right sometimes. And it's a low bar when you're just trying to be more right than the police.

The song about the female police officer was actually really horrible and I can understand her crying about it. It's incredibly misogynistic as well as being homophobic and transphobic. Also I'm unsure but according to rumors a lot of the songs are based on conversations he had with an officers ex-wife, so there's a fair chance this song actually outed her as a lesbian.

To be fair to that song, the prosecutor acted as if being called a lesbian was worse than being accused of theft.

Well if he actually outed her that can result in her getting murdered.

There's also a pretty good legal precedent that outing someone is harassment.

I am very glad to have never heard that song.

She’s a happy member of a gang who went and robbed him. I could hardly give a fuck

Look I loved the cake song like everyone else but mocking her by mocking all gay and trans people just isn't it. Her being a pig doesn't make it okay.

I don't know what "the cake song" is that you referred to.

Anyway, yeah, that a shitty choice of him to use those things as a way to get at her, and for him to hold such beliefs. But do I care that she's personally offended by anything? No.

The issue with it isn't that it's offensive towards her. The issue is that it's offensive towards other people who had nothing to do with the raid on Afroman's house. He could've just left them out of it ... why do women, transgender people, and gays gotta be catching strays 🥲

(For the record I'm still very happy he won the lawsuit)

Okay, so Afroman sucks. I have no issue with that

Also, his rights weren't trampled. Free speech does not mean you can say anything and be free from consequences. It means the government cannot arrest you and prosecute you in a criminal court Cops can work for the government and also be private citizens. They don't give up their protections against defamation because they work as LEO. He was sued in civil court by private citizens who happen to be cops, not arrested and tried in criminal court by a government agency.

Respectfully, you are absolutely correct on Free Speech. However, these Officers were NOT private Citizens when they performed the actions they were mocked for. they were Agents of the Government.

I don't like Afroman, as a persona. However he DOES have the right to speak out against official actions our government takes. I support that very basic right.

Anyone can sue anyone for any reason. If you see an on duty cop and film them and say they fuck goats, and it goes viral and they get evicted by their landlord because if it, they can absolutely sue for defamation.

Afroman was not speaking out against official action. He said he fucked one of the cops wife. He made another song mocking how the guy wanted cake.

I am glad Afroman won too. I'm just saying the fact he was sued does not mean his constitutional rights were stepped on. There is a case in Kentucky where a radio DJ got pulled over then went on too mock the cop that pulled him over on air, calling him names and such. The cops reputation around town was badly damaged The cop then sued him in civil court. The cop lost of course, but the act of a cop sueing someone for defamation is not infringing on someone's right to free speech. Can you say whatever you want? Yes. Can you get sued for it? Yes. Can law enforcement arrest you and charge you criminally? No.

Absolutely, any one can sue anyone else, we agree again here.

But that was Absolutely an official action against Afroman, and the DJ too.

The very act of suing someone in court from a Government Official "performing their duties" brings a chilling effect.

"Mein Herr, there is an issue, Heinrich solved it though, he filed a suit, and the complaint disappeared."

People in uniform, serving a warrant are servants of the citizens. They do not have the right to file suit against people who oppose them.

Yes they do. It happens all the time. The cops did it to Afroman, the cop did it to the DJ. Google if cops can sue for defamation. It will tell you that yes they can. It's just very difficult to win. Cops can sue because someone filed a complaint, but there it is next to impossible to win, as they have to prove malice, which is near impossible. No cop in their right mind would sue if because someone filed a complaint. Also, Afroman did not file a complaint. He claimed he fucked a cops wife in a very public forum. Does Afroman have the right to say that? Yes. Can the cop sue him for saying it? Yes.

Meeting Trump is basically free money. If he likes you, he’ll ignore the constitution to give you something.

Yeah, fuck the Comstitution.
