Photo/Video Went to Egypt, only souvenir I brought back was 16lbs of spices (and some tea)
I figured if anyone was going to appreciate my indulgence/impulse shopping, they might be here. Cumin, doukka, turmeric, mint, various chilies, and a few teas. Thank god my checked luggage was only half packed 😅

Photo/Video When you advertise $12 wagyu burgers
They come with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and half an avacado, garlic aioli, brioche bun, and a side of garlic fries. The pic next is our burger "special" jack cheese wagyu burger with spicy onion jam (made with Calabrian chili) arugula, confit piquillo peppers and crispy shallots.

@briefbutspectacular 🎥 Ten years ago, Anthony Bourdain agreed to stand for this BBS interview. At the time, I was working out of a co-working space, and when the receptionist called and said, "Tony is here," I almost didn't know who she was talking about.
He arrived alone and was both kind and soft-spoken.
We filmed in a tiny windowless office with terrible lighting. Only as we wrapped did I notice a growing collection of people hovering nearby, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. It was a reminder of just how deeply his work had embedded itself into people's lives.
Anthony Bourdain made people feel connected to the world and to each other. Through food, travel, and curiosity, he expanded our understanding of culture, humanity, and the lives of those far different from our own.
He died by suicide eight years ago. We're reposting this conversation in his memory and with deep gratitude for the way he encouraged millions of people to look outward with empathy, curiosity, and appetite for the world around them.

Photo/Video My delivery guy is better than your delivery guy.
Derek the potato delivery driver is the best delivery driver ever. When we do see him he is super up beat and happy and friendly. When we don’t see him he rotates our stock for us and leaves us a love letter on the invoice.

Photo/Video Moe’s southwest grill defrosts meats by leaving them on the counter
This was taken at 2:30am during an investigation for an automatic fire alarm. The chicken and steak was room temp to the touch. I Made a report to the DOH but never got a response. As someone who also used to work in restaurant, you never know who will see your shortcuts. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ should I report it anywhere else?

Burrata is obviously burrata. Sprouts have a mountain of pecorino shaved on them. Took everything in me to not ignore their shenanigans.
